I have never met Oliver Woods. He played guitar for me on my Star EP - in particular the track Star. I found him on the airwaves late one night a few years ago as I was listening to music from across the world and sent him an acoustic track called 'Star'...  He immediately knew what I was trying to say musically. His electric guitars and placement of the notes, FX and backing vocals were all down to his vision and shaping of the sounds around the lyrics. Star - Early Instrumental version (Oliver Woods Mix)

Diamonds of Dust focuses mainly on the Cherokee Trail of Tears under the Indian Removal Act of 1830 but is relevant to all indigenous peoples that have been 'removed' from their homelands across the world. I am currently traveling with this track to the Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival to perform Aug 25th / 26th / 27th August 2016.

I wrote and recorded this track in 2006 while at college in Dublin with my lovely friend Ian Cudmore. I wanted the bass line and arrangement to be my little tribute to Leonard Cohens "So Long Marianne" :)

‘Fire in the Sea!’ is an Irish-Americana album from Maria Shiel from Galway, Ireland.

'Fire in the Sea!' is inspired by the Atlantic ocean and the landscapes of America. It is the story of connection between ancient races; musical letters of love from Ireland to America and an homage to the great elements of life: fire and sea.
