The standing stone waited, wrapped in light

The flute began singing, low and round
And the grown-ups stopped like they'd lost the ground

In Summerland, we skip the rain
We name each leaf, we light each flame
We circle ‘round with roots that hum
And call midsummer’s magic home
A rose, a laugh, a single hand —
That's all it takes to grow the land

“Why does the sky feel wide?”
“It’s ‘cause we’re standing inside.”
She picked three leaves, gave one to me
“Love, remember, and set it free.”
The priestess smiled with moss in her braid
“Nothing's forgotten, it’s just delayed.”
