"It seems like no part of the world has evaded discos’ ubiquitous influence, including the Caribbean. The Caribbean in the late ’70s and early ’80s was a hotbed of musical activity and this compilation focuses on the best disco-influenced tracks from Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. All of the tracks here were officially licensed and reissued for the first time ever.

Highlights of the 13 tracks included on this compilation are: the under-the-radar cosmic disco tune “Got To Have You” by Joanne Wilson, a rare P&P Records-influenced track “Dance With Me” by Odessey One, the icy cool synth-trenched “Living On A String” by Wild Fire, the incredible dance floor-friendly “Instant Funk” by Merchant, and the disco reggae cover of “Rapper’s Delight” by Prince Blackman. This compilation was compiled and researched by Deano Sounds and includes edits by Al Kent, the Whiskey Barons, and Waxist Selecta. Coming out on June 17th on CD and 2LP gatefold."

Spearheading the new wave of electronic music producers coming from the North of England, Patrick Topping has made a name as a prolific producer, securing seven different Beatport number 1s since his debut release in 2013. His accolades also count two DJ Awards for Best Newcomer and Track Of The Season for Forget, as well as DJ Mag’s Best Tune in their Best of British Awards. Last year he rounded things off with his first DJ mix album, Paradise On Earth vol 1, which received Mixmag’s Compilation of The Month and 10/10 from Germany’s Faze Mag, as well as reaching number 1 in Beatport’s House chart.

The third Realm Of Consciousness compilation on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Recordings is the label’s most complete statement so far.

The four-vinyl opus opens with Tale Of Us’ now anthemic ‘Nova’, a high-impact and well-loved staple of their sets this year. Agents Of Time continue with the percussive rattle of ‘Paradigm’, before the first released collaboration between luminaries Recondite and Henrik Schwarz shines with understated melody.

Amongst Mind Against’s eerie masterpiece ‘Portal’ and impressive first appearances on Afterlife from Scuba (as SCB) and Steve Rachmad (as Sterac) are ethereal contributions from Fideles, Ovend and Øostil. UK techno veteran Edit Select channels the darker, hypnotic spirit of Afterlife with ‘Phase In’, setting up the sprawling, 14-minute epic from Luigi Tozzi and Antonio Ruscito.

To begin the compilation’s fourth disc, Konstantin Sibold & Kosme’s ‘Cyclone’ lifts the tone, leading into a more introspective sound from Hunter/Game on ‘Changing Weather’. Upcoming German talent Kevin De Vries follows with his infectious cut ‘Mágoa’ and Tone Depth ends the odyssey in mesmerising style with ‘Ibn Sina’.
