Mario SOI is an Ottawa-based DJ, producer, and curator of deep, organic, and progressive electronic music. As the creative mind behind Progressive Sounds Sessions, Mario shares his passion for underground music culture, creating a space dedicated not to slow down — but to celebrate love for electronic music in all its emotional depth and rhythmic beauty.

Known for his melodic, groove-driven, and storytelling approach, Mario blends organic house, deep progressive, and atmospheric sounds into immersive sets designed to move both heart and body. As one half of the music project Pulse & Pattern, his focus is on crafting sonic journeys that connect people through shared energy and emotion.

Progressive Sounds Sessions is Mario’s ongoing podcast series — a platform for inspired DJ sets and guest mixes from artists around the world whose sound is rooted in feeling, melody, and artistic expression. Each episode is a tribute to the craft of DJing and the joy of discovering and sharing music that resonates deeply.

Created for music lovers, dancers, and dreamers, Progressive Sounds Sessions is more than just a podcast — it’s a celebration of sound and community, where every mix is an invitation to explore, connect, and feel.

With over 15 years of experience in the electronic music scene, this Porto Alegre–based DJ and producer has recently focused his artistic direction on Progressive House, a genre that allows for deeper melodic structures, immersive atmospheres, and subtle yet powerful sonic storytelling. His sets are known for their seamless flow, drawing listeners into a hypnotic journey guided by rhythm and harmonic progression.

Throughout his career, he has explored a wide range of styles including Indie Dance, Dark Indie, Melodic House, Techno, and Melodic Techno, always with a refined curatorial touch and a strong sense of aesthetic cohesion. His approach goes beyond technical mixing, each performance is crafted as a continuous sensory experience aiming to connect emotionally with the audience.

Rather than simply playing tracks, his mission is to build soundscapes that engage and transform — from the dancefloor to moments of introspection, reflecting artistic maturity, technical precision, and a musical identity that is constantly evolving.
