We fell in love with Norwegian https://soundcloud.com/atella after hearing just a few notes. With her enchanting voice, Kristiane lures you into a dreamlike state and lets you experience the seductive sound of Atella’s electronic pop music. ‘The Monster’ is their impressive first output and leaves us hungry for more.

London based electronic soul music duo Stubborn Heart, signed to One Little Indian, seemed perfect to add breaks and bass to ‘The Monster’. We are big fans of their debut album (which was crowned Album Of The Year at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards 2013), imagine how excited we were about their contribution.

Xinobi, who runs the Discotexas label with Moullinex, recently did remarkable remixes for Agnes Obel and John Grant. His taste in music is rather eclectic, as are his productions. He strips Atella’s original to its core, leaving only the vocals behind. His rework is built around an uplifting piano lick and a ridiculously funky bassline. From Portugal with love.

The Monster is taken from ‘The Blue Collection’, the second installment in a new compilation series on Eskimo based around colours. It’s the follow-up to last year’s lauded 'The Pink Collection’.

This is an Edit of the absolutely fantastic Denai Moore. I just came across this amazing artist. My friend Gundelach ( Writer of "Footsteps" and "You Will never sleep") Showed me this music and i felt i had to do an edit. This girl needs more attention as she is one of the most talented people i have come across in a long while. Show her some respect and check out her stuff. This is my take on her song "The Lake". Hope you like it.

The introduction gently drifts you into a universe melting of wistful piano chords, animated synths and a luxurious bassline. A seemingly endless journey of simplistic keys, it's mediative rhythm effortlessly orbits from one deep house plateau to the next with the incorporation of soft drum kicks and chimes. For Silk Sofa's next release, we're proud to welcome back US artist Eric Rigo, who had his first appearance on the label with his 3-track EP "12:10 To Kyoto". This time he showcases "Flight Of The Birds", as well as a short intro song. The title track is accompanied by a remix by label veteran Owen Ear from Ukraine, who just appeared on Silk Sofa with his "Screaming Heart" collaboration with Stereoteric. This release has already received support by Solarstone on his acclaimed "Solaris International" radio show.

The intro song, "Prelude For The Modest", is a soothing and captivating ambient experience, including subtle piano notes and lush pad layers. The Original Mix of "Flight Of The Birds" starts off with an enjoyable soundscape, in which the theme hook of the song is introduced early. The piano notes beautifully accent the theme melody, while numerous background pad lines and sound effects spice up the atmosphere. The remix from Owen Ear begins with lush textures, including intriguing percussion lines and well-crafted sound effects. The original theme melody is turned into a blissful string line, which is supported by the slow, yet captivating groove.

rumpelmusig, the new label from rumpelmaster kalabrese
goes into the next round and continues from where it stopped with the longplayer „independent dancer“, namely songwriting, where the singer legitimately is part of, where the groove declares its love to the melody and the singing. somehow dancepop, just following the own rules. „hello asshole“ comes with a crispy swinging groove, which is almost a breakbeat and the sounddesign sweeps splendidly. and then this compelling guitar riff appears and together with the voice and a bold synthi-line, it lifts us to new heights; right where you just drift away, big number, somehow stoned, but still kicking. jimi jules is a true musician, who prefers recording everything by hand, just like kalabrese, and sings himself, when he’s in the right mood and has something to say. currently he’s busy recording his debut album, trying to express himself and refining his style. jules is one of zurich’s up-and-coming talent and already had a bunch of releases, no matter if techy, housy or some kind of dancepop, this boy rules.

The b-side’s „kafi-lied“ is an ode to the coffee drinking. taking time in the morning and starting the day with a relaxed mood. and the voice of sarah palin, singer of the rumpelorchester, gives the song the energy to gleam over everything to passionately throw oneself into the day and fall in love. Once again a strong performance by the zurich vocalist, the soul breathing just like fresh coffee flavor. The rumpelorchester guys join with a „rumply“ choir and kalabrese adds the white milk froth with the right groove and his characteristic analogue synthi pads.

Daniel Bortz is not a big fan of recless experiments, making his new release even more interesting: Daniel's breaking his own rule of not having his own tracks remixed. When you make a choice like that after such a long time, you don't just let any old producer to get the job done. That's why he has chosen Tuff City Kids to remix the track 'Pictures' from his 2013 album 'Patchwork Memories'.

The track is part of an upcoming EP named 'Patchwork Memories Remixes', a 4-part work consisting of other remixes of Bortz' work by the likes of Acid Pauli, Nu and Bostro Pesopeo. 

The EP will hit stores on April 25th
