Nostalgia Rings

Dedicated to those who will probably lose the land under their feet due to climate change - hoping they will get all the help they need and deserve. The people who contribute least to the causes of climate change suffer disproportionately from its consequences. Kiribati is one of those forgotten regions and should be given a small voice here.

In the evening sky

I wrote this piece for my daughter-in-law, Dienny, close to 20 years ago. Time for a new arrangement!  Dienny is a daughter to us, an excellent wife and mother, and truly a gift from God; grateful she is in our family. Today is her birthday; happy birthday, Dienny!

Left Behind

I am a scientist who started composing music as a hobby in 2013. I have not studied composition and do not approach it analytically, only intuitively. I took piano lessons in my childhood and teens, but spent most of my adult life without playing piano until 2013. So far I have composed mostly for piano, in a polyphonic style that borrows from the Baroque as well as the Romantic spirit. I describe my style as "Baroquemantic". 

Most of my piano pieces are easy to play.  Some are very easy to play.  

All of my pieces rely on 2 or more concurrent melodies (counterpoint).
