The basement of 2010 F street in Lincoln, Nebraska was the scene of much music back in the 60's.  Proprietor Ron Jahde had an amazing stereo in the basement with a pair of Botec speakers that would blow your socks off.  He used to put on the 1812 Overture (with the cannon fire) to show them off... Boom!  We had some fabulous jams there, and Rick Evans (of the Eccentrics and Zager and Evans) had a room upstairs where he was writing songs - many songs.  Here's a jam that featured Mark (first) and Rick (second) taking lead guitar breaks, with Ken Rose on bass and Dave Trupp (pictured) thundering on the drums like nobody else could in those days.  Only other musicians got to hear Rick Evans play this kind of scorching lead guitar through an amp he modified himself - a whole different thing than the folksy persona he'd adopted as part of Zager and Evans!
