Submitted for your approval is a mix I dusted off from back in 2011 which I happened to unearth while cleaning out the old mac hard-drive. Pure back-room afterhours wooziness. Thought it sounded nifty enough to share - hope you do too! And please leave comments - Would love to hear from you!

MEQ MIX FEB 2011

Yo, what up peeps?  I grew up in the sweet 80's  era of Chicago, when Chicago House was born and that sound has forever changed my love of music!!!  I identify with house because, as Jack put it, this house is for everyone, it does not matter if you are black, white, Jew, or gentile, House is where you are free to jack your body!!!  Music, dancing, playing music, and being in love with my friends is what has always sustained me, the house is always where I return when nothing else makes sense, if I move my body, keep dancing, and the music never stops, I know I will survive!! House is forever, and I will forever be in the House!!!

My son is 9 years old and dances Ballet, he grew up on House!!!  The House gives him the freedom to express those feelings and emotions that reside deep deep within his soul. When he was 3 years old, he said to me; "Dada, when I was in Heaven with God, I really missed you!"  He and I are soul mates, Father and Son!  He dances because what would life be like if he didn't dance?  I dance because it is ,what House is, so deep down in my soul...it just is...We were meant to have House, meant to feel it deep in our heart and soul.  House is our life, our language, the meaning for our motion through life, together!!!

Now I learn from him, and the House grows on!!!

I want to thank everyone of you that have been gracious enough to follow me, and then share their music with me!  I cannot tell you how much I love waking up everyday to a new selection of the best music in the world!!

In a pinch, if forced to employ adjectives to describe the Mark E. Quark style, one would come up with words like “groovy, laid back and nasty” house music. But putting grammar aside, it’s reasonable to just say that Quark has internalized influences from DJ Harvey, Idjut Boys, Jeno, and Andrew Weatherall, mashed them up, and given life to a signature style and a creature which is totally unique. This creature is currently brought to life for public consumption  at Moonshake in San Diego.
