The remix intros with a cool deep breaks vibe as rhythms slowly build with a round of percussions. Deep basses resonate throughout the sound and the intensity builds around some superb synth sequences. The break shows off some very cool pads and synths before crashing right back into this solid progressive groove.

DJ and producer Christopher Hermann debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the sublime Point G. Also known as KristÛf Hermann, he has been a lover of music all his life. His early years were spent listening to lots of music, but in 2003 everything changed after hearing Hernan Catteneo's Renaissance Master Of Series. Progressive House became something he would pursue with gusto and he started to as much tracks as he could. In 2007 he made his first mixes under the name Christopher Hermann and quickly gained a reputation as a respected DJ with quality tunes and tight mixes. His tracks have appeared on labels like Klinik Room, Emotional Noise, BQ Recordings, Balkan Connection South America, Clinique Recordings and Crosslink Music. A fine addition to the label and hopefully more to come in the future.

First up we have Point G with its stunningly deep bass driven intro. Phat kicks are layered over a throbbing deep bass as wispy sounds fly through the sound. The rhythm gathers pace with the introduction of a cool hat and clap pattern. The track takes on an erotic flavour as various voices seduce the senses with their sexual appeal. Dark toned stabs litter the groove with cool house textures as the progressive edge drives the track. On the break things heat up to a feverish pitch as a female voice groans with pleasure before that huge kick and bass combo returns. Superb stuff that will go down a treat in the darker rooms.

High Heels & Lingerie intros with a snappy kick and a smooth plucked bass sequence while swirling stynths create a cool atmosphere. The groove goes deep here as that bass etches into your brain, hypnotizing your mind with its progressive prowess. Cascading notes bring a hint of melody as the layers build and create a solid rhythmic flow alongside the crispy hats and percussions. The break lets loose on the synths before slamming right back into the main groove. A top notch progressive cut you will not want to miss.

Miika Kuisma & Luminescent - Wave Of Life (Mark Greene Remix) [JOOF]

Buenos Aires producer Nicolas Ferrero debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the two tracker Pachanga Night. He started his music career at just 13 years old when he began to study classical music which developed into a love for electronic sounds. Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Tiesto, Sasha and Danny Howells, among others, have been his biggest influences and have shaped how he produces. In 2007 he took the step into the professional world and studied the art of music production and after a few years he released his first track on Stellar Fountain.

Pachanga Night intros with a really cool vibe as punchy kicks are met with subtle closed hats to the backdrop of a crowded area that creates a wonderful ambience. The Latin inspired bassline is the star of the show here as it gyrates through the groove forcing you to shake that booty. Subtle sounds and FX litter the background and fill the space beautifully. A wonderfully bass driven slice of progressive house that will definitely be a floor mover, a must have track indeed.

Night Moon sets off with a muted kick as various FX are introduced. Crispy hats join in and the rhythm picks up the pace with the help of cool percussive elements. A deep droning bass lurks at the low end and dominates the groove. Melodic pads rise up and bring a smooth contrasting vibe to the sound while synths deliver their contribution which adds to the melodic structure of the sound. The break reveals a melancholic strain that works beautifully with the sweeter flavours of the track as that droning bass continues its run. Deep and thoughtful vibes here that will be a welcome addition in any late night set.

Mark Greene is an electronic music producer and qualified sound engineer based in Ireland. After completing his training in the Sound Training Centre in Dublin under Will Kinsella (Hybrasil), Mark began signing some early tracks to various labels in Europe. Quite soon after, Mark was releasing tracks on well established labels like Bush Records, Naked Lunch, Elektrax and Carl Cox’ longstanding imprint Intec Digital. A string of popular releases allowed Mark to play gigs across Europe with regular trips to Amsterdam, in particular for the annual ADE each Autumn.

An avid drummer as a child, Mark has always had an affinity for heavy kick-drums in his tracks. As the years have gone by his productions have gained some bpm and Mark’s music is now finding its way into the hands of DJs at the forefront of the industrial techno scene. Rebekah, I Hate Models, Theo Nasa, Chris Liebing, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Amelie Lens and more are supporting his productions of late, particularly his original tracks on his newly established DORCHA Records - meaning ‘dark’ in the Irish language.

Mark launched DORCHA in 2020 to circumnavigate the typical months-long process of releasing on other labels. DORCHA is a place for Mark to release tracks on his own schedule and experiment with various different styles and creative approaches. The aim of the label is to identify new artists and build a small roster to carry the DORCHA flag.

Each month you can tune into Mark’s Progress Radio show for one hour of unreleased music from himself and some of the best producers in techno. Broadcasting on several stations around the world, the show will reach the 100 episode milestone in 2022.
