We talk a lot about the star DJs of Trade, but we often forget EJ Doubell, she was really very talented, whether at Trade, Melt, Fist, Hard-on.  Since the end of her career, she has taken a completely different path.

Toni [!] de Vit recorded live in Ibiza. I love this one to bits as it was the first mix I got that wasn`t commercially available in the record shops. Thinking,..if there`s one,..there must be more and it started "the search" Apologies for the sound quality on part 1, it is a 16 year old tape of a tape, and for the gap on part 2, that was where the tape switches over. Oh well!  What a wicked set though, utterly beautiful, Hellfire into Made in Hong Kong,...chokes me every time,...the guy was a genius.

Another DJ I really admire, her sets at Trade were sublime. Some great tracks on here, the mixing wanders a little in places but she catches them time. A nice piece of history nontheless. Her Trade sets were faultless and tight as anything. I really wish she was still playing as a lot of the current hard NRG would really suit her. As always, there are 2 sides so play both. A great set, very indicative of her style at the time, you don`t need me to explain, just listen properly. Hard dance, techno and hard trance, that`s it, no flannel, no bounce, no trance, no fucking around. Definitely one for the purists but if you`re not one, there are lots of clues as to where later tunes came from. A storming set actually! How rare is this? A storming set with lots of elements of the earlier Trade sound. Absolutely sublime, mixing is tight as anything, I`m not going to waffle on, just listen to it.I know it`s going to bring back a lot of happy memories for a lot of people. Definitely the real deal as Ian has confirmed it.Thanks to Barry Williams for this fantastic moment in time, for once, I`m speechless, just enjoy it, loud!!

Early 95. A nice slow burner of a set, really nice subtle tunes, rolls along nicely. Blu Peter was probably on next so she kept the handbrake on. Either that or it was the early part of a much longer set [poss what 1-330 means] Lots of tracks you`ve completely forgotten about. Many thanks to Barry Williams for the tape. Another brilliant Emma set,done for that den of iniquity that is Torture Garden. Starts off fairly low key, takes a good few tracks to build a momentum, [don`t skip them, allow it to build], then during Lover Man [done by S-J and Baby Doc] it just takes off. After that it goes into "proper" A nice touch with the last few tunes too as she drags a few off the edge of the envelope. Respect!
