This was the first time I had played in my home town of Longton in over 30 years!

In 2005 I did my 2nd Old Skool event at Satchmos Stoke-On-Trent.

Revisiting my time at Shelleys, Introspective, Freetown, Central Park and the influence from the Hacienda, this mix is a tribute to this time.

About 50% of the trax were a repeat from the 1st event so at the time I never released it. 18 years later I discovered the MiniDisc recordings while sorting my music room and decided that it maybe the right time :)

I've been threatening to do a new old skool house mix for a good while now but after much digging through my music collection I've finally done one I'm happy with! This is a few of my favourite cheesy piano tunes, with everything from the disco-y "classic house" stuff to the bouncier tuneage we all love. Loads of big anthems and a few guilty pleasures on this :P hope you guys enjoy!

Berlin Hypnotic House XXVIII - Backwards Head Club Mix

This track opens the Outlier album. It’s built from tension, that kind of magnetic pull on the dancefloor where everything’s unspoken, but understood. A little sweat, a little danger, that flicker of eye contact that changes everything. No introductions. No questions. Just energy.

I wanted something French house inspired, but not obvious. Clean mix, sexy groove, no vinyl static. I created a conversation with the vocal and sax responding to each other, almost like foreplay and that’s where the track finally lets go.

This one's for the ones who never needed to ask.

Following the wicked opening set from our residents Lee James & Garry Dabill was a DJ who used to be a regular guest at UpYerRonson and even hosted the infamous 12 Nights of Summer Party at The Pleasure Rooms in 1996....he was back making his first UYR appearance in over 20 years....the legend that is Jeremy Healy!! Jeremy played the 5pm-6.30pm set on the Terrace so one would think he'd take it easy and play some cool summer terrace vibes...don't be silly, this is Jeremy Healy we're talking about, THE best PARTY DJ who always plays a set that will make you dance whatever time of day it is!! So sit back or rather get up and have a boogie to the original Superstar DJ, Mr Jeremy Healy! x

Mark Holliday - SHINE presents FAC51 THE HACIENDA @ Leeds Warehouse - 29/06/2013

DJing for over 30 years, Mark’s held many residences at clubs such as Ricky's, The Warehouse, The Gallery, Highflyers, Soak, Kaos, Ark and the Glasshouse, playing alongside the likes of Sasha, Dave Seaman, Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, K-Klass and has graced the decks at some of the UK’s key clubs such as Pacha, Gatecrasher & Tall Trees. 

In recent years Mark has made regular appearances at a variety of club nights across the north of England at LTD Addiction, Shine, House Arrest, Love to Be and Reborn. He’s also taken centre stage at Leeds Pride showcasing his skills to more that 20’000 revellers. Mark has also hosted his own internet radio shows booking some of the worlds biggest DJs including Kurd Maverick, Dave Seaman, Utah Saints, Disfunktion, Dan Castro, Prok and Fitch, Hard Rock Sofa and Mason. 

Mark continues to perform at various events and currently holds residency Revisited at the Leeds Warehouse mixing up a cocktail of uplifting, hands-in- the-air house music alongside other DJ legends.

Been into djing since 1988. Still love  it and i  believe  music is emotion
