01 REC - 2020 - 04 - 28

Been in love with all things House since back in the dizzle. 1987 going into 1988 and onwards.
I'm sort of addicted to house beats and never lost my love of the scene, going out to hear the best DJs play the best upfront tunes that were around and, of course, legendary private parties. 
Early Acid House, The Hacienda, Blackburn warehouse parties, and the Rave scene inspired my listening pleasure. From then on, I was hooked.
I was lucky enough to have Sasha and John Dasilva play a party for me in 1988.
I ditched hip hop and found my aural drug of choice.
As it went more hardcore, I settled down and did my thing.
Had it again the early 2000's when Funky house blew up, 2Risque at North in Manchester has to get a mention. 
Ultima and bigger, more glamorous type events began to get me out again. 
I also learnt then how to DJ for myself and began collecting vinyl and blending mashups and finally understood how I was a bit more of a listener than a performer. 
Now in my early 50s, I still take a daily dose , combining a huge hit of the classics, Tech funky house, disco, and Elecrtro breaks and less cheesy bassline Basically, stuff that would make your gran get out of her chair and dance despite her knackered hips. Gear to make your bass bins bosh, and your tweeters pop. Bring the funk and a beautiful, soulful,  uplifting vocal and get those feet moving type of gear.
This is the stuff I get down to.....aswell as a fair bit of beach vibes,chillout, and some psytrance that i chill and fall asleep to.
Although to be fair , it's more likely I fall asleep to a club set for some strange reason?

Still going out , whilst I can. 
Housework in London reignited my passion post lockdown for going out and I'm beyond super pleased things have got even better.

Turn it up, nod your head even if you're on the tube or in the car.... and you'll be fine.... give it your best and get up and dance.
I couldn't have my piece of musical heaven without the most amazing army of talent put there using this platform. Massive respect and shout out to you all. Keep spreading THE vibes. Music is the answer.

Mark Jarman

Mark started DJing way back in the late 80’s and was heavily involved in the warehouse rave scene from it early beginnings. He then moved his skills into the club scene where he quickly became very popular across the UK and abroad
It was at that point he knew “Music is the answer, to your problems”. 
He first DJ’d at the legendary Marco Polo that used to run after all the clubs had finished at 6am until everyone dropped, The venue launched many of the top names including “Steve Lawler”, “Scott Bond” and “Andy Ward” to name a few. He then went on to DJ at many of the UK’s big nights including, Sundissential, Cream, Gatecrasher, Wobble, Crunch, Tin Tins, Sugar Shack, Hush, Fun, S.L.A.G. Naughty but Nice & many festivals and venues in the UK and abroad
He has a very distinctive style and loves the crowd interaction that means you always have a massive party when he plays. He fully believes that a DJ is there to entertain the crowd not just play music. He was one of the first DJ’s to incorporate scratching into his sets and this made him very popular in the UK with his abilities to do something or mix something that no one would have expected 
He was renowned for his happy bouncy style through the nineties and was huge on the dance scene for over 15 years before taking a break to raise his son
He is now back in full flow and his ear for knowing good music and what will sound good in a club has helped propel him back into the DJing scene and his production and remixing of has gone from strength to strength
He has taken to the tech house sound and is currently enjoying his resurrection DJing at various events and venues again. 
He has already remixed for labels and has produced a number of tracks and they have all now been signed Textro Records. He also has many others coming through the label later this year
The future is looking bright again with his style of making sure the whole event has a party.
