After the diagnosis of his mother's Multiple Sclerosis, music became a place of comfort and solace for Matt. The MS ended up bringing the family close, but also changed Matt's perspective on life, showing just how delicate life is.

Using music as a mechanism to escape from negativity, an over active mind, and the pressures of life; throughout Matt's childhood, music was relied on heavily. Despite this it wasn’t until his late teens that he picked up a guitar. At first a bass playing pop punk covers with friends, then another band, writing this time. Finally getting his first acoustic aged 16 just before he started college, he taught himself how to play, and how to sing, and this became Matt's new outlet; a way of expressing, coping, and enjoying life.

After a graduating from University, Matt always found time over the 3 years of Uni to play music, culminating in a gig at the UoG SummerBall and meeting superstars Lily Allen and Professor Green. This success of a hobby gave him confidence and drive to pursue music. Matt had finally found a sound and wrote, and now he's here...
