Dateless - Break The Dance Floor

Dateless is a name you might not have heard yet, but we know you’ll be hearing a lot more of from this Los Angeles native from here on out. Proof that it’s not just an urban legend that our head ‘Bird, Claude VonStroke, really does listen to every demo that comes in, Dateless submitted a handful of tracks to our demo page, Claude pressed play, and we wanted almost all of them. 

We introduced him to Dirtybird on our “Secret Sauce” compilation in June, and we felt he deserves his own EP, “A Whole Lot”, featuring two singles that both fit as A-sides-the title track and “El Viento Tropical”.

We look forward to seeing the bright future ahead for this talented young artist, and don’t think finding dates will be a problem anymore.

Dateless - El Viento Tropical

Fresh from an appearance on the TWENTY years of Global Underground compilation, Just Her returns with a slew of remixes for the breathy, deep and hypnotic ‘Follow You Down’.

Stunning remixes on this pack, Oliver Schories delivers a sub bass, brass stab laden rework that picks up the pace of the original and makes it deep house stomper. The White Shadow remix pushes the song on even more and turns it into a pulsing, driving, melodic monster.

Yost takes it in a totally different direction and pulls it back to an almost chilled house vibe, clever percussion, beautiful melodies and vocal effects punctuate this version.

Andrea Arcangeli keeps it with the chilled vibe but adding in some legato strings to give the song an ethereal feel. Armonica finishes up the package with a strong techy, proggy, deep rework with some stutter vocal effects throughout.

This Ep raises his game with three tracks taking in funky basslines, deep-house vibes and inventive, smooth flowing arrangements. 
John Monkman’s record kicks off with the anthemic “K.I.S.S. M.E. feat. Morgan Mackintosh”. An uncharacteristically uplifting track that combines a freestyle bassline with gated 80’s drum sounds and amazing vocals by Morgan Mackintosh… 
B1 Jessica is a very special track, the descending organ riff, almost an acid house motif gives it an anthemic quality. The “You and Me” vocal offers just as much hook as it needs to be. 
B2 is a late night sleaze for the well-tuned dancefloor or the perfect track to help the crowd find its footing during the opening hour. The entire seven minutes ooze with polished future-house bass and the tracks being championed by top tier talent worldwide. Disco lasers and vocal snippets douse the track with a modern sheen we’ve heard in works from seasoned house vets, but John Monkman concoct his own chart-topping take on his debut.
