Hey everyone, Arty here and I wanna share some thoughts with you that I've been living with for a while now.
First, thanks to all of you for being with me in this amazing musical journey, I just realized it's already been 9 years since I'm doing what I love the most and your support is the one of the few things that keeps me motivated and inspired, 
I appreciate it so much and I always will!
But I also appreciate the desire to explore myself in different musical styles, trying something new and pushing this idea forward all the time. Since the beginning of my career I've always been saying that I don't wanna stuck in one certain genre, and the reason is not because I don't like it anymore. The real reason that is for me as an artist, listening, getting inspired and making as much diverse music as possible is one of the things that helps my creativity and keeps me from being stagnated as a musician...which is the worst.
That's why at some point the music I was making has started to go further and further away from its original roots. 
Some of you accepted it, some if you didn't. Yet all of the records I made always came from my soul, whether it's trance, dance or pop. Over these years I've been always listening to your feedback. You might think that for an artist it's extremely easy to start ignoring his fans, their demands and just do what his heart or mind says. 
Well, it's not. And that's where idea of discovering new sound clashes with listener's voice and all of this happens in my head. "IN MY HEAD", so don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it. Your feedback and support was always with me throughout this journey, but when some of my records didn't match your expectation, unconsciously I started to build this pressure on my shoulders and I started to compromise my music in an effort to make both me and my fans satisfied.
2016 was amazing year for me. It was a year of re-discovering myself as an artist and as a person as well, considering it took me a minute to get out of my album's routine and its aftermath, which was close to a nightmare. But the freedom afterwards felt like nothing else. I didn't feel myself so inspired and productive in a long time, and it was probably the first time I opened my eyes so wide. Closer to the end of last year I noticed how much my music was different from what I've done in the past, and I felt like I had been neglecting my long-time fans and it didn't feel fair. And that's how I came up with idea of bringing the Alpha 9 alias back. It gives me the freedom to not be bounded to a specific genre, allowing me to experiment and keep pushing my boundaries with Arty, while I can be as close as possible to my long-time fans using Alpha 9 moniker.
I remember myself as a 17 year old kid, running back home from university classes every day, absolutely blinded by just the idea of making music. No pressure from managers, labels or promoters, just pure passion. For the first time in a long time I feel like that kid again and I don't feel this pressure anymore.
Also I wanna make it really clear, although Alpha 9 is still me, it's a totally separate project from Arty, focused on totally different music. I'm taking Arty music further towards the dance scene, while Alpha 9 will be a progressive/trance oriented project, this applies to branding, releases and live sets.

After an energetic mix intro, the first drop takes it right back to a cheeky psy-bassline. The track really builds with acid lines, screeches and some monstrous drum fills.  The main arp melody nods back to an era of melodic trance heroes and the euphoria this will induce in the clubs is evidently clear. But is it a tease? We'll let you discover yourself. This is a smooth melodic progressive house journey perfectly made for sunny days on the beach or just a lazy days walking through scenic places. It has that lovely warm feel of chords, progressions and everything inbetween that we often look for. 

Ireland base ace Keith Harris returns to us with another magic piece, this one taking a slightly more aggressive and energetic way through clever bass lines, well fitting melodic arrangements. He's definitely one to keep watching for 2017, as he is to have a great year ahead with his creative way of making music. 

We are also happy to present the return on the label from Russian producer Mekao that we saw with us a few months back, through our compilation PHW & Friends. Now he took on the challenge to give this original from Will Canas his interpret. His creativity shines through once more, as he delivers a smooth, a bit more stripped down way of thinking about the track, and he is not to leave anything to chance. A straightforward melodic progressive journey, he once again showcase what he is made of. 
A superb release has landed, and we do hope this is one for you to enjoy, if you are after the melodic progressive genre.

Silk Music is thrilled to present Silk Music Showcase 06, the sixth installment of the series, once again mixed by Jacob Henry and Tom Fall. The compilation is inspired by our weekly radio show of the same name, which is co-hosted by Jacob and Tom, as well as Johan Vilborg, Jayeson Andel, Vintage & Morelli, & Terry Da Libra. Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, and other radio platforms, Silk Music Showcase recently reached its 400th episode (http://www.silkmusicshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of our radio show (and, more generally, our label), the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. Many of the artists are seasoned veterans of the SMS compilation series; there are also numerous first-time contributors to this year's compilation, many of whom have asserted themselves as leading talents in trance & progressive in just the past year.

Making a both surprising and incredibly welcome debut to the Skies imprint is the amazing Argentina based duo Suonare, who make their first solo outing on Skies with an over the top uplifting single titled 'Let It Go'.

Having made a solid name for themselves on some of the top labels around in past years, these two have become increasingly well known for pushing anywhere from chuggy tech based melo-prog, all the way down to deep prog / house licks that are always undeniably lush and captivating. So it was a truly surprising moment for us to find a new demo from them waiting for us in the Uplifting Trance genre, and what do you know, it was an absolute melodic masterpiece. Pushing a soaring array of lovey dovey melodies, heart pounding progressions, emotive atmos and an all-around elevating mood that has given us all goosebumps from day one here at Emergent Music, this new single is sure to make any listener feel a loving lift in their step from start to finish.

Adding yet another impressive notch to their belt of varietal sounds, this is Suonare with the alluring new single 'Let It Go'.

Label veteran eleven.five, whose extraordinary "When People Become Numbers" artist album graced our imprint last year, is back with an eclectic and innovative new five-track EP, entitled "The State I'm In."

In "Mish," we witness hypnotizing arpeggios and gentle lead melodies, while a strong groove provides brilliant texture underneath. 

"Last Night" takes off with an intriguing atmosphere, with captivating percussion variations and soothing pad layers. Strong bassline notes take over shortly thereafter, and subtle, yet delightful light leads lighten up the soundscape as the song progresses.

The title track, "The State I'm In," begins with an enjoyable piano line, which is later replaced by frisky percussion layers, captivating vocal effects, and refreshing background effects.

A tranquil beat introduces "In The Midst Of Turmoil (Comes Peace)," as well as subtle, yet quite intriguing bassline notes and fascinating synth stabs. As the song progresses, numerous new melodies are added, all of which contribute to the already delightful atmosphere.

"Acamar" -- a collaboration with Sundrowner -- rounds out the release. Once again we witness stunning percussion work, and various piano melodies and a floating lead melody truly spice up the soundscape.

Summer Melody proudly presents our first release, that we are kick-starting with a brand new release from uprising progressive artist Asioto, called The Sun Also Rises, alongside with remixes from veteran artists Z8phyR and Winterya, which is a perfect way to start our summer.

The smooth guitar sounds and bright pads brings us with the relaxing tune from the original made by Asioto. If we slow the track down for a bit and adding glittering synths and chilling tones, we then have Z8phyR's beautiful and melodic interpretation. Yet Winterya's remix brings us the northern realms, with the piano, synth and vox, giving us another spectacular rendition to the original.

As our first release on the main label, we welcome them and their melodies to Summer Melody!

Mark & Lukas, a Slovakian-based brother duo, share a deep passion and love for electronic music, particularly in the genres of trance, deep house, and their favorite summer genre, melodic progressive house. They began producing music in 2014 and released their first original track on the Fuzzy Recordings label that same year. Since then, they have continuously evolved their sound.
