Gina Ferrera is a visionary with a passion for music from around the world most especially traditional rhythms.  Her music performances and teaching projects are influenced by leading edge electronic percussion (KAT) technology and their combined expression with traditional acoustic instruments, the healing power of sound and a celebration of culture. Gina is a seasoned drummer & percussionist, music educator, therapeutic teaching artist, ethnomusicologist, bodyworker and sound designer/producer. Her explosive poly-rhythmic performances feature a hybrid of live percussion and electronic drums, ranging from different styles of global mostly African influenced music to experimental avant and emerging multi-media. She seamlessly fuses beats and rhythms, both intimate and driving, with live production, looping, sampling and vocal effects.  Gina's work embraces our "interconnectedness", has its roots in ancient music and culture, and an intention for healing into the creative expansive future.  

Utilizing a hybrid of organic percussion, the alternate mode trapKAT (custom electronic drum setup), xylophones and a unique rhythmic dialogue, Gina Ferrera weaves her tale: "Laws of Nature". Breathtaking in its sonic range and richly evocative in content, the album seamlessly bridges the ancient and the contemporary, unfolding a world of contrasts and textures that reveals multiple new layers with each listening. 
"Laws of Nature" is a stimulating experience that crosses the spiritual with the sensual to the pure essence of sound. It’s at once a highly intimate statement yet one that crashes through boundaries and speaks to anyone whose path it crosses.

Shawn Hennessey’s childhood growing up in an Irish Catholic neighborhood in northeast Philly belie his soul-connection to world rhythms, drums and percussion. An artist at heart and composer, Shawn’s music embodies rhythm-as-life, that invisible, universal pulse at the core of all we do, musically or otherwise.

Shawn’s deep, abiding love and passion for percussion and drums has taken him around the world in a career spanning the globe in known-percussion hotbeds of innovation and rich history, countries like Ghana, Cuba, Haiti, Israel, Tahiti, and Istanbul.

A Latin Grammy-nominated percussionist, Shawn is also a prolific songwriter and producer based in Philadelphia and performs regularly with a variety of notable national and local acts, including bassist Bakithi Kumalo of Paul Simon's band, Uprooted featuring Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, Bollywood star Jeffrey Iqbal, Trinidelphia, Ryan Tennis, The Disco Biscuits and Don McCloskey. 

HIs two passion projects over the past decade have been Hennessey Bonfire—lush, organic, original songs soulfully rooted against the backdrop of world rhythms and sounds—and Leana Song, a genre-defying fusion of traditional and contemporary Afro Cuban music, the likes of which have landed Shawn on major Spotify playlists alongside world music icons.

Leana Song’s first album, “Orisha Love Songs Vol.1” was released in 2008, and blends ancient songs with modern harmony and instrumentation.

Hennessey Bonfire, released “Let’s Get Carried Away”  in 2013.  This self-produced, sophomore release is a world-folk in nature, highlighting Shawn’s gift for songwriting and pop production.  Soon after the sold-out release at World Cafe Live, Shawn was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  He had surgery and has been in good health ever since.  

In 2018, His 3rd studio album “Orisha Love Songs Vol. 2” was recorded in Cuba and the US, and is set to be released on 21Sound.  While in Cuba, Shawn had the distinct honor of being consecrated “Omo Aña”, a child of the spirit in the drum in the Afro-Cuban religion of Ifá.  

Shawn will release his 4th studio album in June 2023 as Hennessey Bonfire.  “A Wake on the Boulevard” Is an eclectic blend of world rhythms and folk harmony, with electronic sensibilities and lush production. “This record is about becoming a father and forgiving my own”-  SH

Born and raised in Philadelphia until the age of five, Mark came from a creative family. His mother Elizabeth was a Miss USO and an accomplished painter. Mark was always the proverbial class clown.

His father Jean Marcarian was born in Marseilles, France and came over with his sister Louise. Marks uncle Mike who was his Aunt Louise's husband was also a great artist as well. My Uncle Mike truly influenced me a great deal as an artistic person.

After graduating from Cinnaminson High School, Mark had a desire to get into television broadcasting so he attended the infamous American School of Broadcasting which was owned by Long John Wade the disc jockey from Philly. Mark still had his share of D&A problems but did eventually stop all of that on his own.

While attending American Academy of Broadcasting (AAB), Mark migrated back to his home base in Warminster to live with his best friend Peter Betts for some time. Mark worked odd jobs, mostly in retail as he made his way through Bucks County Community College as a communications major. 

Mark started in the parts business at this time and quickly moved up to leading roles. Always a hard worker and "go-getter" Mark had the gift of gab so to speak as well as a very strong work ethic because of working for his Uncle Pascal some years back. Eventually, Mark became a retail manager and moved onto companies such as Pep Boys, Giant and Amerada Hess Corporation; (HESS gas stations)

Mark was married in April of 1986 but divorced in 1998. He has two children, Brandyn and Ryan. "Mark was always trying to make people laugh. He had too because his home life growing up was terrible. His outlet was to be a clown and make others laugh. To this day, I still think back and chuckle." states childhood friend Scott Schubert.

In the meantime, Mark has enjoyed acting in film and has stepped up his goals and drive to become a truly awesome actor. He has been in fifteen films playing all types of roles from a lawyer, doctor, serial killer, father he has great range be it a comedy, horror, action or drama.

Says Mark, "I love to act because it is a true form of escapism when I can actually step into someone's life and become that person.", "I was always clowning around, trying to make people laugh and truly love to perform, especially in front of a camera."
