For the past decade, Mad Decent has been invading your ears with fresh sounds. With humble beginnings in Diplo’s Philadelphia studio, Mad Decent’s unwavering mission is to highlight underground, genre-blurring sounds. Mad Decent tops iTunes, Beatport and Shazam charts worldwide with #1 Dance tracks and albums with releases from artists like Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Grandtheft, Party Favor, NGHTMRE and Yellow Claw. Mad Decent is also home to Good Enuff, a launchpad for artists breaking the norm; notable releases include Bauuer’s “Harlem Shake” and DJ Snake’s “Bird Machine.” As an extension of the Mad Decent sound, Mad Decent Block Party was established in 2006 and now spans across North America and India.

Damien Favre, Swiss composer and musician, was born in 1991. After his Bachelor in Musicology, Theatre- and Dance studies at the university of Bern he studied Music Pedagogy majoring in Jazz Piano at the HKB (Hochschule der Künste Bern), the university of Arts in Bern. 
Apart from his studies he is active as an independent artist in music, theatre, dance and conceptual art.
His artistic activities go from composing, being a musician and actor as well as a choir and orchestra director, a play writer and choreographer all the way to being a teacher and art-philosopher. The styles in which he is active are just as versatile as his artistic activities: from classical as well as jazz, all the way to pop and electronic music.
His versatility is the basis of his musical strength. The ability to use diverse styles allows him to create in his works unexpected turns and to give his works an unconventional touch.
One of his big concerns beyond the artistic aspect is that his work will build, inspire and encourage his audience. This is why he intends that his art would serve not only as mere entertainment, but also contain philosophical thoughts, animating people to think about life, God and the world. He says: “I don’t want to be an entertainer. My dream is that my art would make a difference in peoples lives.”
