Perfect Giddimani is the stage name for Greg Rose of St. Ann, Jamaica. Inspired by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Toots Hibbert tunes on his father’s jukeboxes, “Mr. Perfect” was performing by age 9 and gaining a regional reputation as a teenager. He provided regular entertainment as Little Ninja at St. Ann’s York Castle High School, where distinguished alumni include reggae founder Jackie Mittoo of the Skatalites.
After high school, Rose headed straight to Kingston, Jamaica, and began honing the art of performing and recording at top studios and clubs. Soon, the enterprising Rose took control of his own musical fate. “My brother and I opened the first official digital recording studio (Askum) in Bamboo, St. Ann, back in 1998. We did this through the help of my dad, who was responsible for locating and buying the latest studio gear in New York at that time.”

Rose and his brother Kirk taught themselves by reading equipment manuals for days and it wasn’t long before they were producing their own music and that of other local talent. “I was responsible for making the rhythms via drum machines and keyboards, and my brother was the vocal engineer,” Rose said. Together, they formed the label Chalice Palace Muzic. Rose, calling himself Perfect Giddimani, a mixture of the words “Armageddon” and “morning,” made his first few self-produced recordings, which he shopped all the way to Europe himself, and DHF Records in Austria gave him his first deal.

Even though Giddimani’s success after ten albums, 700-plus singles and a Grammy nomination for 2012’s “Journey of 100 Miles” has given him an “intercontinental life,” he stays in touch with his St. Ann roots. This shines through in his lyrics.  He has scored No. 1 tunes in Jamaica, Germany, Sweden and France and has collaborated with Lauryn Hill, Anthony B, Sizzla Kalonji, Lutan Fyah and Jahdan Blakkamoore, yet Chalice Palace Muzic still handles his publishing.

His company also founded Giddimani Records, a label that actively records upcoming Jamaican artists on compilations featuring a Giddimani tune or two to help them gain exposure. New titles include “Horn Of Africa Riddim,” “Burnhard Spliffington Riddim” and “Bay Area Riddim.” As the music scene changes, Rose stays true to his message. “As a true Rastafarian, I know that it’s right over wrong, good over evil, so my music will remain positive as long as I live.”

Biography
I was born into music revival that was all that was played in my parents house , I liked it but was a bit oldskool for me. As I started to develop my own passion for music, My music love as a youth was ragga/dancehall, loved ninjaman, shabba ranks super cat i loved watching the clashes they had me intrigued, very entertained and excited, I loved the energy and vibes, it was unbeatable. 

When I started senior school i started to listen to hip hop, I was very music orientated, my good friend GT use to go out as a teenager to jungle raves, I was like blood, how you listening to that music man, to be fare I wasn't to keen on Jungle, the only tune that I enjoyed was General Levy and M. Beat Incredible. 

I borrowed a couple of tapes from G.T, Mickey Finn and Bassman tape, and a brockie and Dett, Mampi Swift Bryan G many others, when I was in my house listening to the energy and vibe these guys were letting off it made me smile and vibes, the vibe was similar to the bashment and dancehall it had the similar  formula to a extent. 

When I heard Skibadee and Shabba, the levels them man were letting off was next level, I loved listening to Bassman & Trigga too, straight dark vibes at a steady pace, this is when i fell in love with Jungle!! When i use to listen to jungle i automatically started  spitting lyrics, couple lines here and there not full verses, I started out as a bedroom M.c and a playground M.C at school, then gained the confidence to M.c at house parties, I was a 14 year old youth. I continued Mcing doing sets, as my friend had decks. We use to jam and do sets record them, I didn't just listen to them i proper penetrated them, lyrics the way I sounded, how I said the lyrics, always wanted to be better on my next set.

When  I was 17, I went on a Birmingham base radio station called silk city F.M and done a 10-12 show saturday and sunday called the Bashment show, with Dj Roots Big Mikee Jaspino Don and Mc C, just done it for the love as this is what i loved doing and was getting mad love, HAZARD WHO IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVOURITES, use play at Wallice Lawler I Use to jump on his set time to time as a shy mc lol.

I grew my confidence on the radio, the phone did not stop ringing for big ups, it was unexplainable.

I have been to a mass amount of drum and bass events, through out my years I loved raving, it was a place I forgot everything, drum and bass made me happy, every weekend I was out to all the top events I was there, by hook or by crook. 

It was almost impossible to get a booking back then I did get bookings they were under 18s party's, or nights my friends put on, to get a booking in rave you had to roll with your tape or cd, try find the promoter leave your number on there and wait for a response if you got one.

A lot of people started to spit and dj on garage and grime as it was so hard to get a look in in jungle/Drum & Bass world. Although  I use to love partying to Garage I could not get the the same vibe spitting to it i did from drum and bass I remained doing my show on the radio i loved. 

In 2004 Magika started Raveology in Birmingham, and he started to give me regular work, still continued doing the radio and pushing my self, there was a buzz around my name it felt like I was finally started taking off and Mcing where I wanted to be.

2006, when things took a downward spiral in my life, that spiral took me out the game till 2010, within that time i got myself strong mentally, constantly wrote bars and hooks also full songs, knowing i would be back to the music , now I'm back, I Preformed at Raveology, Legends of the dark black, Random Concept Eternal Muzic, Highgrade, Skankers Bassmans bday Triggas bday bash, Nutcrackas Bday bash.Alphas Birthday Bash Ds2b, plus more, I done few guest shows on Origin.net Shotta T.v, I have featured in a Music video called Gully Skanker,

I Feel Revamped as a M.c to what I was when I was a teenager and early 20s, Right now I'm focusing on elevating as a DnB artist.

Jungle Citizenz are a crew formed & based in Birmingham comprise of Craig Graham and Cheshire Cat MC.

It didn’t take long for ravers to like their sound and top producers from around the world have given them some fantastic support and advice, especially their very own mic controller Cheshire Cat . Cheshire travels around with the lads jumping on the mic from time to time. So the lads then decided to bring in Cheshire as a permanent fixture as his voice really lends itself perfectly to their sound . Cheshire is a vastly experienced mc with some of the biggest sound systems around the country and has worked with the mighty Leftfield, and has a platinum disc to prove his success and so  it was sealed Cheshire Cat was now a member of the Jungle Citizenz .

 They have had booking after booking as promoters get to know how these lads kick up a storm on the dance floor and are quickly becoming  the next big thing to come out of their home town of Birmingham .

Craig Graham  has around 20 years experience playing on the fringes of the scene and was one of the leading Dj’s on the legendary pirate radio station Starlight fm. Craig is the tech head of the crew and works on all formats and is the key to  new underground sounds.

Cheshire Cat born and bred in Birmingham,started chatting the mic in 1982 for local sounds like ITAL WARRIOR and NYAHTONE HIFI.

In 1988 Cat Joined LOVE INJECTION SOUND,Clashing with othe sounds like SAXON,SIR COXSONE and V-ROCKE.
In these clashes Cat would hold the mic and tear up the dance everytime,also clashing from yard like STONE LOVE,GEMINI,SILVER HAWK and JARO to name a few…

In the 1990′s Cheshire Cat got a record deal with SONY MUSIC releasing BITE THE DUST,and joined up with the Legendry LEFTFIELD. alongside Earl-16 touring all over the world and released RELEASE THE PRESSURE and CHANT OF A POORMAN
Cheshire Cat also worked with SIMPLY RED on NIGHT NURSE.

Cat has also had a Number 1 hit in the Reggae Charts and over 50 number 1s in Bhangra working alongside with top Asian artists such as Bally Sagoo,Malkit Singh and Sukshinda

2012 sees Cheshire Cat crossing over to the JUNGLE/DRUM N BASS scene and making an immediate impact working alongside top artists CHOPSTICK DUBPLATE crew Aries,Jacky Murda & Tuffist as well as Jungle Citizenz,Mr Williamz,Daddy Freddy,David Boomah,Congo Natty,
