Hey - after writing songs for the best part of two decades in bands I thought that I would upload a couple of "solo" tracks, exploring instrumental and atmospheric pieces (at least for now!).

Was stuck on a name for this track (that's the downside of instrumental tracks I guess...) so I named it after my village.

Thanks to Katy for the constructive feedback/arrangement advice.

Moseley In Bloom

Hey! This is my second track.

It's pretty cold outside (and of course it is raining here in the UK) so I decided to carve out some time (two hours... in between chores) to write a short track.

It's pretty fun (& harmless!) I liked the cheesy use of the filter, reminding me of my favourite pop-punk bands...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my second track.

Winter Blues

So this is my third track!!  I didn't think I'd get this far...

It will become immediately apparent that this is quite a change from my two earlier tracks (and as ever there is a story behind that!).

Without going into too much detail about the personal circumstances behind it, the song is to symbolise the turning of the leaf.  Stylistically the song is reminiscent of the sounds I've heard in and around the clubs in Berlin (where my brother lives and perhaps where I'll spend Christmas next year).

Oh -  should say, the lead at the end is out of time in places.  This is symbolic of my general laziness (haha) and my own flaws.

Better In Berlin

It's been a productive few days, the time off from the day job has given me a bit of time (and the positive feedback has given me a little motivation) to continue exploring my sound.

Probably a reflection of my last week but the dark and dirty theme continues, I'll cheer up in the New Year!

Hello & I hope that your New Year has gotten off to a great start!

2016, seems crazy writing it doesn't it?!

Here is a track that I wrote with my friend Anthony Del Plato back in June 2009 and we wanted to bring it out.  Hopefully Anthony will pull his finger out and sing over a few other tracks that I recently sent him!!

Anthony (www.soundcloud.com/anthonydelplato) is a incredibly talented young man, based in New York City, a friend that reached to me online perhaps 10+ years ago.  Unfortunately we have never met in person (we need to change that) but I love hearing his vocals over my tunes.   More generally, if you ever want to collaborate, get in touch!
