Welcome to the 28th edition of my monthly podcast, Technobabble! Bringing you one hour of peaktime, hard, and heavy metal techno!

As I recorded the mix, it felt like something special was happening. The energy was incredible coursing through me, and I could tell this mix was a different animal altogether, even with some imperfect transitions. Normally I might re-record those and splice the audio, but I wanted to present this one as it was, warts and all, to preserve that special feeling and let you experience it authentically.

Technobabble Vol 28

Kompromisslose Beats, verzerrte Kicks und eine düstere Klangwelt – Der Usurpator ist der Sound von Hardtechno, der die Grenzen von Dunkelheit und Energie neu definiert. Als DJ und Gitarrist erschaffe ich eine Atmosphäre, in der treibende Rhythmen und metallische Texturen mit einer hypnotischen Intensität verschmelzen.

Meine Musik bewegt sich an der Schwelle zwischen brachialer Kraft und surrealer Dunkelheit, inspiriert von der Essenz des Undergrounds.
Jedes Set ist eine Kulmination der Eskalation verzerrte Kicks, unaufhaltsamer Druck und eine Klangästhetik, die keine Gnade kennt.

JSMN is a NYC-based DJ and producer from Detroit. 

She brings driving, hypnotic hardgroove and bouncy, high-energy techno with touches of hard trance. She’s shared the stage with JSTJR, Funk Tribu, OGUZ, AIROD, Shlømo, Eli Brown, Lilly Palmer, T78, Coyu, NAKADIA, and Space 92, and has released music on Kaligo Records, Crudo Audio, and EXTIMA.

Her sets have taken her from Brooklyn to London, Chicago to DC, with appearances at E1, The Cause, PRYSM, Smoke & Mirrors, FLASH, Soundcheck, Elsewhere, Superior Ingredients, SILO, and Brooklyn Monarch, to name a few.

Mark Wise is a techno producer and DJ from New Jersey. He grew up listening to grunge, metal, and classic rock, and started playing the drums in middle school. His taste for electronic music began in his late teens and blossomed through his college years when he began DJ’ing and then started producing during graduate school. Mark officially entered the techno scene in 2017, and over the next few years, he developed a unique sound blending elements of different styles like minimal, progressive, house, and trance. This hybrid approach eventually led Mark to develop his signature sound - heavy metal techno, fusing the musical loves of his past and present in a unique way. With tracks that have been supported by names like Carl Cox, Nakadia, Fjaak, Juliet Fox, Brennen Grey, Cosmic Boys, Cristian Varela, Spartaque, Ilario Alicante, T78, Vikthor, Anna Reusch, Mosher, Sebastian Mora, and Horatio, Mark Wise has forged a unique techno sound that will make him a force for years to come.
