"Goodbye LA, Hello LA" was written and performed on guitar by Joe Howard with Mark Woodyatt contributing the violin performance and arrangement, which was improvised and recorded in 2 unedited takes.  This is emotive track is a fine example of Mark's ability to tastefully accompany by spontaneously performing live in a studio setting.  Shameless self promotion-   This showcases the musicmagic that manifesrs when he is presented with an unfamiliar piece and is limited to a short confine of time to record and add to an artists track in a tasteful and complimentary manner, challenged with the task of playing in a complimentary way that doesn't take away or overpower the songwriters performance, but highlights it, enhancing the song,   This track was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered on 6/23/13 by the brilliant Eric Ritter at Windmill Agency.  Thanks to Joe Howard for letting me put this up.

My sometimes virtuosic violin playing is highlighted by the great players whose talents are in this genre-crossing performance catalogue which features some of my more wildly explorative unique compositions, improvisation and collaborations with many different projects involving a host of talented musicians, solo and studio Stevie Wonder-inspired songs highlighted in the many hours of these recordings and oftentimes playful explorations. These moments of clarity and creation, ultimately, transfigured into the myriad explorations of sonic and visionary ideas, happenings and expressions you which you are free to discover through the direct experiences contained throughout many of these recordings with a wide array of different styles, artists and collaborations.
