Some points discussed during this Khutbah:

⁃ The three that follow the deceased to the grave.
⁃ The happy one and the loser as it relates to their wealth and family.
⁃ A reminder from Jibrīl (عليه السلام) to the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ and his ummah.
⁃ The three deeds that remain for a person after their death.
⁃ The harsh reality that there are from our family those who are enemies to us and will not benefit us after our death.
⁃ The wealth that one truly benefits from.
⁃ The yearning of the true believer and affairs that require our attention.
⁃ An example from ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Umar (رضى الله عنهما) in giving from that which we love.
⁃ The most wicked of cultivators of their children.
⁃ The only companion that will remain with you after you die up until you enter Jannah or Jahannam.
⁃ Preparing a good resting place for ourselves in the grave.

- The Messenger’s ﷺ prohibition of imitating the unbelievers.
- Imām adh-Dhahabī (رحمه الله) on how to determine what is considered to be prohibited in imitating the unbelievers. 
- Outward matters in which the Messenger ﷺ commanded us to differ from the unbelievers. 
- The great crime of imitating the unbelievers in affairs that are specific to their religion.
