Text of the ḥadīth:

عن [أبي هُريرةَ] رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُ، أنَّ رسولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قالَ: مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ جَارَهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ. رواه البخاريُّ ومسلمٌ.

From Abū Hurayrah (رضى الله عنه) who said that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, "Whoever believes in Allāh and the Last Day, let him speak goodness or else remain silent. And whoever believes in Allāh and the Last Day, let him honour his neighbour. And whoever believes in Allāh in the Last Day, let him honour his guest." [Related by al-Bukhārī and Muslim]

[November 2025] The Beginning of the Life of the Prophet ﷺ - Sh Abu Zayd Khālid حفظه الله. Two sermons at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.

Part One:

- Benefits from a khutbah delivered by al-‘Allāmah Muhammad b. Sālih al-‘Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) on the sīrah of the Prophet ﷺ.

– {And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust} [Surah al-Furqan 25:23]
