Methodology of the Prophets in Calling to Allāh

- Evidence for the connection between Tawḥīd and al-Aman (security) and ar-Rizq (sustenance).

No Person Knows When & Where He Will Die!

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– {Verily, Allah! With Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware} [Surah Luqman: 34].
– Reflection: no soul knows where he will die or when he will die.
- {And every nation has its appointed term; when their term is reached, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment)} [Surah Al-A’raf: 34].
– Statement of Al-Ḥasan al-Basrī (رحمه الله).
– Ḥadith: “When Allah intends good for his slave…”
– The reality of tests and how it should aid a Muslim to return in repentance to their Lord.
– Ḥadith: “The greater reward comes with the greater calamity.”
– Reflections from the Ḥadīth of the five things before five.
– Whoever is neglectful in doing actions during their youth, good health, riches, free time and during their life.
– {Take me back and let me have the opportunity to do the righteous actions}
– Rectifying that which is between yourself and your Lord.
– Rectify between yourself and others before the Great Day.

[08/11/2024] Don't Belittle Anything From Good Deeds - Abu 'Abdir-Raḥmān Hilāl حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– {And I (Allāh) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone)} [Surah Al-Dhariyat (51):56]

– Upon the believer is to strive to worship Allāh and to carry out the obligations and the nawafil too.

– Words of Advice from the Prophet ﷺ of not leaving off any good deeds even if it’s a small deed as this could be a means of salvation.

– Examples of some good deeds that may be considered a small deed from various Ahādīth.

– Don’t belittle any good deed that may be considered small.

– With Allah these so-called small deeds are mighty and are a cause of salvation.

– Examples of people from the time of the Prophet ‎ﷺ who performed small deeds but attained salvation.

– Importance of striving in the worship of Allāh and accumulating good deeds as this will aid you on the Day of Judgement.

– Benefits of fearing Allāh.

– Different ways of giving sadaqah, its types and its rewards from the Ahādīth of the Prophet ‎ﷺ.

An encouragement to use the month of Ramadaan to better ourselves.

Utilise Ramadaan To Rectify Yourselves - Khutbah By Abu Idrees

Do you know the definition of Imaan? This definition, and acting upon it, is the key difference between the believer and the hypocrite.  In this beneficial lecture Ustadh Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq explains some key principles, including this, regarding one's Imaan. The speaker also briefly goes what the word Islam means, and the three things which make up a person's Islam. 

These two basic and important concepts of a Muslims faith have been mentioned in the Quran and The Sunnah both together, and separately. When this happens, these different scenarios cause them to take on different meanings. Ustaadh reiterates and goes through it in detail, making that it is clear to the listener.

A Muslim may say that their Imaan increases and decreases, so since Islaam and Imaan have such a close relationship, can a Muslim say that their Islaam increases and decreases? This intriguing question is clarified and explained in the audio by the speaker.

The significance of learning about one's Imaan and Islaam separates them not only from hypocrisy but from deviant sects. Sects who have made major errors in their aqeedah (belief), from among them are the Murjiah. To understand this further, listen to the audio.
