Our Story

STREAMS IN THE DESERT INTERNATIONAL, INC.

Streams in the Desert International Inc. is dedicated to saving and transforming lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Founded by Rev. Deborah Cofer - President Streams in the Desert International, Inc.

We share the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.  We are also dedicated to saving orphaned, abandoned and neglected children and widows in India. 

I am Deborah Cofer, president and founder of Streams in the Desert international, Inc.  Several years ago I was invited to minister in India.  It is impossible to explain all of the wonderful things that have happened since then.  I have been helping to oversee the Deborah Prayer Healing Center in India (I did not name it!  It was named by Mrudula and the believers that are there doing the work. Deborah in the Old Testament of the Bible was a leader of God’s people.)   

We are feeding, sheltering, clothing and educating 125 orphans and very poor children, and 20 new gals rescued from the street. 
We are also caring for 60 widows and 20 widow prayer warriors. 
We are also supporting 4 churches, and evangelistic outreaches.
We are helping 150 Christian pastors from remote villages and their familes.
We are supporting a colony of leper patients.
We purchased 5 sewing machines to help very poor women make a living, the prayer healing tent ministry, street evangelism, medical outreach, Bible study and so many more things. 

This is really like the Book of Acts as the power of the Lord Jesus Christ goes out to touch lives.
