From 1998 to 2019 Boo Boo Davis used to tour in Europe several times each year and a lot of music was written and recorded during these tours.  The worldwide Covid pandemic put that on hold . However with the help of the internet and mutual friend Chris Brown in St Louis, the guys from ElectroBluesSociety (Netherlands) and Boo Boo started to exchange idea's and demo's. The result of these 'sessions' is released as a string of single tracks and they are available on all the stream and download platforms.

Covid can stop live shows for a while but it can not stop the creation of new music.

I put this track together in July 2022 during the alphatest of EXT64 (EnergyXT2 - 64bit). The music seems to be a throwback to the tracks I was making back in 2009/2010. Maybe it's because I was more focussed upon the actual DAW than usual when making this piece. Maybe it's because I was "homesick", and needed a break from my recent ambient compositions. Maybe.

Edit: In September 2024 I remastered the track. I have increased the LUFS level by almost 0.5 in preparation for an album release.

Don’t WoRRy Be JaZZy

Hi, I'm a keys player and I like making up grooves to existing jazz and latin standards. Over the last few years I've been mainly working on original numbers.

It's just me in the music you hear, I play all the parts off a keyboard recording in midi and layer up into the finished version.

I started playing the piano as a kid , then took up the trombone and played for fun in various local amateur bands and orchestras. Then at 18 went to college and didn't do anything  musically  for many years. Started playing the saxophone and tuba more recently, and in the last four years or so got back into the keyboard which is now my main instrument.

I like making up jazzy  late night music & music you can listen to when travelling. Sounds like a strange thing but I find the most enjoyable part of a holiday is the travelling part, whether that's on a plane , train or even a car on a quiet road with some nice views. Looking through a window with a changing view, in a bubble of suspended time between two worlds, that's what travelling feels like to me, and I like to write music that sounds that way - http://soundcloud.com/markd54321/361-stolen-moments-320kbps .
