Mark Fehrenbach, Bass, is a classically trained vocalist, who has performed in genre’s such as Sacred, Christian, Classical, Big Band Swing, Jazz, a Cappella, Musical Theater and Light Opera. 

In addition writing the music and lyrics of his new single, "The Gift of the Unwrapping," and recording his album, Rejoice and Be Merry, he can be heard on recordings of Mass for the Lamb of God by Frank Becker, Shatigarh’s Requiem for the Unborn by John Bonaduce, as well as One Spirit, One Church and Chosen by God by Kevin Keil.

He has spent a significant part of his adult life cantoring Masses for the music ministries at St. Bernardine of Sienna Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Angels of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, where he had the honor of being the first vocalist to echo in the churches’ chambers to begin the consecration masses. He also cantered at the San Fernando Mission and sang in Shantigarh’s annual Respect Life Masses performing it’s requiem noted above, as well as earlier ministries at St. Noel’s Catholic Church in Willoughby, OH and his college Newman Centers.

Other notable appearances include performances as a band soloist, and the Bass vocalist in “The Canton Connection,” jazz quartet  with The John Trapani Big Band, an eighteen-piece orchestra out of Canton, OH. He performed and recorded live with them for 9 seasons. They performed in concerts, arts festivals, and dances all over the Ohio Valley including the Canton Palace Theater, Concerts on the Green at Oberlin College, the beautifully restored Marietta Hotel, and the Akron Civic Theater. Trapani's band specialized in the hits of the 30s, 40s and 50s from the big band era.

Although not a Baritone, Mr. Fehrenbach still had the range for charts such as Sinatra's "New York, New York," Bobby Darin's "Mack the Knife" and "Unforgettable," the famous duet between Natalie Cole and her late father, Nat King Cole. The Canton Connection jazz quartet sang classic charts such as "Chattanooga Choo Choo" by the Glenn Miller Band, Tex Beneke and the Modernaires’ “Juke Box Saturday Night,” and " On The Sunny Side of the Street" by the Pied Pipers and the Tommy Dorsey orchestra. Contemporary charts occasionally made it into the line-up as well such as "All I Want for Christmas is You" by the Manhattan Transfer and their hit a cappella version of "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square."

He also lent his voice for two seasons to the Canton Civic Theater’s annual run of A Christmas Carol, Kent State Stark Theater’s production of Evita, and Canton Symphony Orchestra’s  presentations of Handel’s “Messiah” and Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9.”

He was a member of the Men’s Glee Clubs at the University of Cincinnati and Kent State University, and the only non-music major vocalist in KSU’s Chorale at the time. He performed the Bass/Tenor Duet of "O die Frauen,” from Brahms' Der Liebeslieder Walzer, during the ensemble’s performance at Stan Hywet Hall, Akron, OH. Their performance was broadcast live by NPR/WKSU radio. He also performed with the Chorale in their presentation of Mendelssohn’s dramatic biblical oratorio, “Elija.” 

His formal collegiate music education came from two places: KSU is where he received his formal vocal and classical piano training, and where he was later awarded a vocal music performance scholarship. He was taught vocally by James Mismas, and coached by him after college. He also received formal training in choral conducting, and all brass and percussion instruments from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
