Before late May, 2021, Mark Z80 had never written a lick of music, although he's been a huge music fan since the 1960s. He always wanted to do something in the field, but didn't know what.

It took the pandemic for serendipity to hit -- with his wife, Lorri, they started a YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/c/hypnosrelaxation). So he purchased a MIDI controller just to try it out, and began writing and producing music profusely. He wrote ambient music for the channel and started writing pop/rock as well.

Mark Z80 released his first pop/rock album November 2nd, 2021, and hasn't stopped since. He's now released 8 albums, and he's halfway through recording his next album, "Who Are We".
