PMD010 – Oldchap – Roof Top EP

Based in Paris, Oldchap’s mission is to make people dance. His mellow jam, ‘I’ve Got The Groovy Touch’ was featured on the ‘Funk Ride’ compilation (Editorial) in 2016. His new number, ‘Roof Top’ is a 3 track EP that is coming out soon on the Puro Music label.

Oldchap has made a bold transition from his previous release, with the ‘Above The Trees’ kicking things of in an uptempo fashion, full of deep house kicks and heavy horns. ‘French Tune’ , the next track on the EP, is a groovier take, backed up by jazzy chords and rhythmic basslines. A seductive sax is the key note in the breakdown.

Last but not least, ‘Roof Top’ takes the listener on a progressive trip with horns and deft percussion making the heart skip with joy. Marvellous debut EP by Oldchap, out soon on Puro Music.
