With an emphasis on dense lyrical melodies over bluesy riff-based instrumentation, Merchant Royal is the epitome of what happens when you have four unique pieces that fit perfectly into a cohesive whole. What occurs is a new sound that echoes influences from 1960's and '70's rock, yet also focuses on originality, soul, and stellar atmosphere, all which can be witnessed in their performances. The band consists of Ryan Arnold on guitar, bringing rhythm and melody with him, Jake Gloschat, the vibrant and driven drummer, and Kevin Schultz, filling out the low end on bass. These three create the backdrop for Christina Manteris, whose warm, sultry vocals complete the full-bodied experience. Each member commits their entire being to the group, willing to push the band to it's full potential, with only the horizon in mind for the growth of their collective musical and artistic abilities.
