Hot Hands

Thought I'd throw a quick tune together riding the train out to New York's beautiful Hamptons, and pulled this off with my midi controller and a laptop.  Surprised the people walking by on the train, but what the hell!  Probably the first tune ever recorded on a train:).  Here's a simple I-IV groove in C that just works (they always do:)) Thanks to Joe Cocker for his seminal Feeling Alright.  One of my favorite grooves.  Same type of vibe here.  Seems like the right atmosphere to go into the holiday weekend.  All done on keyboards.  Thanks as always for listening and commenting.

This exclusive compilation is by Andrew Weatherall for Faber Social as part of his tenure as Artist in Residence. 

'I have been an admirer of the work of Ian F. Svenonius ever since meeting him and his first band, The Nation Of Ulysses, in a Memphis recording studio in 1992. His latest group is called Chain And The Gang and 'Music's Not For Everyone' is named after a song by said combo. . . 

Volume 1 was a series of radio shows (nine I seem to remember) recorded for XOYO Radio and now probably lost in the ether somewhere. Volume 2 will be a series of compilations recorded exclusively for The Faber Social.'
