We are back in 2013.
Beginning of 2012 a new name appeared on the international dancefloor: CLAPTONE (artist of the year 2012 in German Trendcharts DCC).
The track ‘CREAM’ became the worldwide Top Track (No.2) of Beatport in the category Deep House and was among the Top 10 of the most charted tracks for 2012 on Resident Advisor.
The new year brings 2 more surehots for the clubs: WRONG & NO EYES featuring JAW from dOP.
Early support by Tensnake, Solomun, Noir, Laurent Garnier, DJ T…

In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded darkness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone.
Years spending wandering medieval landscapes have informed Claptone’s view of the world, experiencing both magical mystery and muted melancholy he enchanted onlookers with occult instruments and beguiling sounds. Forever surrounded by a sense of intrigue, the world soon cottoned on to the elusive yet enchanting musical powers of this otherworldly beast. The results are that today his shamanistic sonic powers take him all around the world.
Whilst Claptone has continued to roam in his own circles, 2012AD proved to be a year dominated by his infectious ‘Cream’ track. It became an immediate hit, topping new world charts at Beatport and RA, whilst the sonic conjuring of the ‘Night On Fire’ EP also lured all those who heard it, with the result another Top 20 hit. But that’s not all, for the creativity flows freely in our hero, and his ‘Another Night’ also proved to be just as successful on the dancefloor. Deep and woozy, the Claptone sound pairs theatre with tragedy, feel good vibes with acute melancholia and imbues each groove with a Rhodes laced funk, an organic string hook and myriad earthy elements.
Up to the present day, Claptone releases have been birthed on Germany’s influential Exploited label, picking up props from the likes of Pete Tong, DJ Sneak, Soul Clap, DJ Hell, Jesse Rose, A-Trak along the way. Who or whatever Claptone is, it is alive, with a life of its own, evolving and revolving in equal measure, exploring new sounds naturally and forever taking inspiration from long gone and occult worlds.
So far, esteemed and influential dancefloors at clubs in Berlin, London, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai, New York and many others around the world have fallen under the sonic spell of this secretive alchemist. The future is unpredictable for Claptone, but a new release ‘Wrong’ including the track ‘No Eyes’ with the inimitable JAW from French funsters dOP is on the horizon. Beyond that, your guess is as good as ours…

2   Jamo and Andy George "Remember" I was  Going through a few old Promos I had last year and came across this  taken from MODA BLACK VOL. II Sampler Featuring tracks from Huxley, Danny Daze, Maxxi Sound system, Jaymo & Andy George, Hot Since 82, Habischman. And it’s a gem i missed out on went straight of Hot since 82 .I think it was called leave me. But what a cracking tune.

3     Roots Are Deep   Original Mix       Artists Jay West   out on Collected Works 5 track EP With artists like ....Moonwalk,  EdOne, Bodden, Trash You, Claus Casper,  That track by Jay West is no 5 on the release and is one of my Favorites. Out on OFF Recordings.

Following A Drumming Background, Tom Made A Move To New York Where He Worked As A Producer/Composer For Ant Music. There He Composed And Produced Music For TV And Commercials, Meanwhile Holding Down His DJ Residency At Subkulture.Since His Return To London, Tom Has Had A String Of Releases With Sudup Recordings, Lost My Dog, 3am Recordings And Warmth Recordings. His Recent EP ‘Love Potion’ Was A Huge Success For Lost My Dog, Reaching #5 In Juno’s Deep House Chart, And Even Making It Into Beatport’s Chill Out Top 100 Courtesy Of The Track ‘The Return’. This Was Followed By A Special Jay Tripwire Remix Package. Last Year Saw Tom Teaming Up With Producer Harold Heath To Start Working On Some collaboration  EP’s. The 1st Was Released On Deepwit Recordings, The 2nd Is Due Out Soon On Acryl And The Pair Have Just Finished Off Their 3rd EP Together. This week on the Sounds Collective I am so happy to welcome BDTom as my guest not only a quality music Producer but an excellent dj as well He is dedicated music collector, producer, re-mixer, vinyl collector. In his collection you can find everything from the '70s Jazz and Funk to even the steepest Deep House hits. After the early techno scene, he voted in favor of the developing Progressive House. His true love however, is Deep House and everything related to it. Soulful, Detroit, Chicago, Tech. His works are highly inspired by old favourites such as Atjazz, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Ian Pooley, The Timewriter, Sven Vath, Fred Everything and many more! 
Nowadays he is developing his own Deep n Dub style of music that is constantly growing and evolving.

Hi my name is Mark Mac.
“I love my family and my life, my only other passion is music” 
I’ve been a dance DJ in many clubs and bars up and down the UK and across Europe. I’ve worked with a number of radio stations doing Deep House, House and Chillout shows for over the last 20 years, In that time I’ve mixed it up with world famous Djs from all around the globe. 
The Sounds Collective show was born in May of 2011 as part of my passion for dance music. It has grown at an amazing rate with the support and help of good friends and new friends I have met along the way. 
 On My shows I play the newest and finest in Deep House, House music, and chilled beats. The show has been honoured with many amazing world class Labels Artists and Dj’s.
Labels like UM Records, Deepwit Recordings, Itom Records, Ready Mix Records, Fierce Angel, Hed Kandi, SeamlessDeep, Redbox Records and Deep Site Recordings.
 The line up of Guest Dj’s who have appeared on the shows include Andrew Weatherall, Rishi K., Paul Cassidy, Moti Brothers, Tom Lown, Portofino Sunrise, Rory Cochrane, Broadcasting, Ben Sowton, Marshall Jefferson, Mark Doyle, Terry Hunter, Graham Sahara, Graham Park.  I have been influenced by music all my life from 70s Funk to Funky House but I am truly blessed to be able to share my Passion and love for Deep House with The Sounds Collective on 107.3 Stafford FM. DHR 104.9 Fm and LDNFM I have several Tracks that I have released featuring both Deep House And Organic house. on Deepwit Recordings, Batavia Records, Sound Vessel Records M-Sol Deep Be Adult Music And Be Adult Weapons.
