I do a Deluxe Edition of every album I produce. It offers a chance for the albums to recoup the high costs of making them while streaming services do the exact opposite in the music industry today. So, it's a way to support the artists directly. But, when I do these Deluxe Editions they offer something I've always wanted out of albums I like. Alternate versions, demos, outtakes and surround mixes of the songs. 

For my own favorite album collection of music I like, I always buy the Deluxe Editions if they're available because I'm picky and there aren't that many bands, artists and albums I really get into. So, when I do, I get the max I can out of it. Because of that, I do the same when I make an album. For the music lovers out there who can appreciate the differences between an album track and an alternate acoustic version such as what you hear in this snippet of the song "Too Far Gone". It's more intimate and "storytelling" in this presentation featuring Fernando Perdomo, Mark McCrite, Matt Dorsey and myself on guitars, Joe Deninzon of Kansas on violin, Matt on Bass, Durga McBroom of Pink Floyd and myself on vocals.

Into The Sun (Live)

This is one of the bonus tracks on the Dave Kerzner New World Live Extended Edition coming out this month. It's on the additional disc that has three new studio recordings plus a Pink Floyd song (Great Gig In The Sky featuring Durga McBroom, long time vocalist with Floyd) and a medley of Sound of Contact songs (songs I wrote with Simon Collins, Kelly Nordstrom and Matt Dorsey performed by my solo band in Holland earlier this year). On my European tour we sometimes played a cover of ELP's Lucky Man and I dedicated it to my late great friend and musical hero Keith Emerson. Sending you love wherever you are Keith! We decided to record our take on the song in the studio for fun and here it is. Hope you like it. We went heavier in the end section because that's how we feel about it. We miss him!

Fly from Here Pt IV - Bumpy Ride (2018 Version with Trevor Horn vocals)

Here's the original demo for "Not Coming Down" with vocals by Gene Siegel. This is how the song sounded in 1998 when it was originally written. Later the song was worked on with Sound of Contact and released on the album "Dimensionaut". The song was originally written about my former Thud bandmate the late Kevin Gilbert and his shocking death in the late 90s. - Dave
