Overthrow

A group of mini music ideas that I wrote over the course of a couple days.  The idea in my mind was the question: where am I, and everyone else, headed? I was just sitting near a road and started to wonder where everyone was going.  It was not a very clear thought and I never got it refined to a concept to make one song out of it.  So here are some things that happened as I was considering this open wondering.

I make music for the adventure of exploring the world of sound and artistic interpretation.  Music (or any form of art/communication) operates in and relies on a context of shared symbolic interpretation.  It is a means of expressing interactions, perceptions, and Truth in an experiential way; with a looser sense of the context.  This produces a range of expression and interpretation that, perhaps, mere words (another form of sound symbols) cannot. It is also simply enjoyable and uniquely human.  When it comes to what I "create," I am never at the caliber I wish.  However, I am always glad as I reflect on my journey thus far.  This "portfolio" of mine is meant to be a glimpse/invitation into my adventures with music.  It is my hope that my pieces invite you to question your personal views of and "preferences" in music and encourages you to consider the world we live in.  Thank you to all who are willing to interact with this expedition.
