C'est enfin le moment pour nous de vous dévoiler le deuxième single ! Après des heures en studio pour trouver les sonorités et les sons qui vont vous donner envie de tripper lors de nos prochaines soirées, voici notre nouvelle idée sonore qui s'appelle "Understand". Pour le message de ce morceau, nous voulions faire un écho avec la planète bien sur, et même plus globalement, nous voulions nous rappeler qu'il ne faut pas jouer avec les choses qu'on ne comprend pas, d'où les paroles de ce dernier track qui emmène progressivement. Et quand nous l'avons testé à fond dans les enceintes de la maison, on s'est dit qu'en live, avec du très gros système sono, ça devrait envoyer sévère ^^ Bonne écoute les amis !

Following on from their Record Store Day ‘Looped EP’ release, which featured remixes by Dauwd and Lubomyr Melnyk, Kiasmos – made up of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen – return with three new tracks and a remix by Tale Of Us.

Recorded in various locations including Reykjavík and Berlin, the EP opens with ‘Drawn’, a four-minute percussion fuelled track with gentle piano motifs. ‘Gaunt’ features the addition of ambient synths and a drum loop, underpinned by slow-moving chords. Title track ‘Swept’ which the duo offered to fans as a surprise gift in form of a free download card at previous show dates, showcases a more club-oriented beat structure alongside Kiasmos’ signature emotive instrumentation. 
 
Closing the EP is a remix from Berlin-based duo Tale of Us who met Kiasmos in London and twist the original downbeat title track
into their distinctively dark aesthetic. Pulsating hats and a driving bass loop add pace as the track builds toward an epic breakdown.

The ‘Swept EP’ will be released on 12”/DL via Erased Tapes on November 20th, 2015.

Paride Saraceni’s debut Truesoul release, ‘Burning’, brings us three uplifting and vocal-heavy tech house tracks. A steady groove throughout, Saraceni’s choice of instrumentation and flowing percussion create a melodic yet techy release with all three tracks laced with a solid kick drum, tinkering high hats and sporadic vocals. ‘Burning’ is is the perfect offering for the new year and proves there are big things on the horizon for Saraceni.

With February's "Ronan Point" ep still wrecking the dancefloors and proving itself to be one of the labels strongest debut releases, Italian duo Macromism return to SCI+TEC with their latest smash, "District Zero." 

Having forged a more minimal path on their early recordings for the likes of Polar Noise and Zoo Technique, it was Mattia & Eugenio's 2011 releases for Inmotion and Carlo Lio's Rawthentic Music, that saw the duo explore the deeper side of tech-house, to great success. 

2012 kicked off at pace and saw Macromism feature their music on Break New Soil, Suara, Kling Klong, Kiara and of course their debut for SCI+TEC. Their latest for the label is lead by "District Zero," otherwise known as the dancefloor. Right, here, right now, on that very spot, the demonic vocal instructs us to move, shake, dance and get sweaty… And backed by the hypnotic beats and stabbing synth riff its impossible not to. 

"News From Barcelona" on the flip takes the far more straight up, heads down approach as it powers forward from the off. Piercing hats and a lurking bassline lay the foundation before we break for some Pathe news. Whilst the broadcast is more British than Spanish, Macromism's beats are firmly rooted in the mediterranean.
