No one has liked this playlist. But I just thought you should know... I went on a SoundCloud hunting spree the first two days of October. Had over 175 tracks saved on one playlist; I was catching up and finding artists I never knew existed. Life was good... 

However, the love of my life has betrayed me... SoundCloud lost over 100 tracks from my playlist. I've spent about 20 hours in the last 2 days on there. (Crazy and sad, but true; I'm an addict.) Found soooo many tracks that gave me the face; uncovered new (to me) artists that made me wet myself; thought I died and went to heaven I was having such good luck...

By the 3rd of October, all the fruits of my labor were gone. Depression set in as my chin trembled and tears streamed down my face. Feel like I lost my best friend. Before this, I thought the world of SC. Fuck, I've turned over 50 people onto the site, singing it's praises. It breaks my heart that I invested so much adoration into it, and I can't trust it to simply archive my favorites anymore. 

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a fix? I've contacted SC, but not gotten a response, yet. I'm on the edge of my seat. Any insight would be appreciated.

For the record, I LOOOOOOOVE SoundCloud and I've introduced over 50 people to the site over the years. I sing its praises regularly. It's the love of my life. Thankful for such an amazing platform for so many music lovers... All I do is eat, breath, sleep, dance and SoundCloud. If I can't rely on the Playlist function, life has taken a turn for the worst. That's the main reason I pay for the site. The only other reason is that it brings me so much joy I want to give something in return for it. 

Trying to recover all the files with October Volume 2, 3 & 4... but never will. When I was trying to reconstruct the 1st playlist I lost, it happened again (Hence Volume 2 having 3 tracks instead of 109). SoundCloud is not fool-proof anymore in my eyes... VERY SAD, FRUSTRATED, AND feel betrayed in the worst of ways. 

I'll update if SC produces any updates and tips. It may have to do with having old tabs open and going to add to the playlist without refreshing the page first. That's my guess but SC has not confirmed. Best of luck to you! Hope you enjoy!! Cheers!

His Infiltrate EP kicks of with the deep and hypnotic title track and is backed by the equally depth-defying trippy work out 'But Does Its Float'. Having already hosted reworks from Audio Injection, Doka & SHLTR and Tripeo, the label adds to their glittering roster of remixers by welcoming Argentina's Pfirter and Berlin's Milton Bradley, both of whom bring an exciting personal touch of intensity to Jeff's original tracks.

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno’s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. 

Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn’t fit in their regular EP release schedule. 

With an eye on future talent, as much as the label’s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode’s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional.
 
Led by the stealth techno funk of ‘Nine of You’, Beyer’s deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. 

The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O’Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016. 

Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

It’s been over 10 years since the release of Gui Boratto’s breakthrough full length debut 'Chromophobia'. As to what its title suggests, he shook up the techno game with a contrast of lushly coloured minimal grooves and melody, whilst many will recall that the album included the highlight single “Beautiful Life” which became a dance floor anthem for that era. Four albums in and countless EPs and remixes under his belt, the Brazilian producer's unique savoir-faire in carving out a functional album out of diversely routed singles and features is back at it on his fifth studio LP, 'Pentagram'. Here Gui Boratto lays down a nuanced 12-track narrative that reinvigorates his signature sound into a refreshingly different perspective that feels all too familiar – including the return of “Beautiful Life” vocalist (and Gui Boratto’s wife) Luciana Villanova on the single "Overload".

Through his signature kaleidoscopic approach, Boratto delivers an album built as a far-reaching hub-and-spoke system, broadly inclusive as can be. From the opening cut, 'The Walker' - hot on the trail of Tears For Fears 'Elemental' (one of Boratto’s "favourite 80's bands") - to the hi-NRG euphoria of 'Forgotten' and its pounding tech alter ego 'Forgive Me'. "I was going into 2 different directions", Boratto says; "the typical “indie- electronic-rock” Boratto kind of production like “It’s Majik” or “Like You” and a much more techno approach." He goes on, "I decided to split them into two twin sister songs. When I play live I always put these two songs together."

The Brazilian Producer further embraces the pop-friendly essence of his past work on tracks like 'The Phoenix', featuring vocalist Nathan Berger, and 'Overload', both melding acidulous synthlines with laser-precise breaks, vox hooks and drops calibrated for extended radio and club use, although sieved through his distinctive rainbow-hued musical prism. For the symbolists out there, the album's pared-down closer '618' duration accidentally happens to equate the proportions of the said pentagram. "Coincidence?" Boratto questions, and capsulises, "not so ufanista and supporter of Brazilian neo-concretism, but I guess the brazilian sculptor Lygia Clark also inspired me a lot. Not the meaning of her sculptures, but the shape of the hinge of most of her work. I’ve wanted to transmit the scientific pentagram’s point of view. It’s not a religious kind of thing."

Whereas 'Spur' (a field-tested 808 and 909-heavy "purist track", "very, very old school" Boratto insists) and 'Alcazar' are sheer smooth-edged four-to- the-floor epics, the album also shares its lot of startling moments, such as with the John Barry'esque 'Scene 2' (with a hint of Amon Tobin, 'Easy Muffin' style, throw in) and its refined string-laden buildup, 100% fitted for a 007 opening credit sequence; or with 'Hallucination' (feat B.T.) and the further James Holden-ish title-track 'Pentagram' (think 'The Idiots Are Winning'); "one of those exercises I did when I got my Buchla modular synth" Boratto analyses, "I think I’ve used more then 30 different snares, with different delays and reverbs. The whole song is alive". And so is 'Pentagram' in its entirety: alive and definitely just as manifold and hopeful as its architectonics are the stuff of science and dreams all at once.

Anyone serious about their techno will certainly have come across the name Mark Reeve. Moving to Germany from England 15 years ago in search of an inspirational scene that embraced his tough uncompromising sound. First discovered by Sven Väth Mark has since gone on to establish a reputation totally respected by his peers through groundbreaking productions on iconic labels such as Afterlife, Drumcode, Cocoon, Soma and many more. Fully established on the scene Mark has helped push electronic music forwards as a solo artist, while working with true heavyweights like Tale of Us, Adam Beyer and Pig&Dan 

Equally at home behind the decks and a mixer live as he is in the studio, Mark’s DJ sets have been been receiving fantastic feedback, with his talent and artistic vision taking listeners on a thrilling journey full of hard driving beats and intense melodies at dance floors around the globe such as Awakenings Gashouder, Space Ibiza, Fabrik Madrid or Rex Club. As an essential step in his evolution, Mark was to set up a record label in the form of the excellent SubVision. 

SubVision acts as a platform not only for Mark but for all kinds of true talent to keep pushing their underground sound onto dance floors worldwide. SubVision has been quietly growing and maturing in approach the encompasses Mark’s values as a DJ and Producer, offering a forward thinking selection of all new cutting edge music with a focus on breaking new artists alongside established names at the top of their game.

Mark is one of those people that wears his heart on his sleeve. A true craftsman you can feel that rawness and emotion in his music which is filled with a vision, true passion and intentional excitement.
