My new album is of course strongly influenced by the current world events, the drastic global changes in the (surrounding) world. Titles like COCOON, WEED COLLECTIVE or MILANO went through radical musical changes over the course of months in the course of their composing. The whole album has "pupated" constantly, changed drastically, rotated, moved sound and always took new forms.
COCOON is supposed to give hope, fascinate, pervade and immerse you in a protected inner world.The cocoon, which can also be dark, is the energetic place of change for the power animal butterfly and its transformation. It stands for lightness, joy and change, but also for the vulnerability of nature.

Koloto - Fox Tales

While working on "The Lake"-Cover I played with some guitar sounds and suddenly came up with this one. Its not MO its just me playing around. Yesterday I finally found the matching synth sound, I was looking for. I revisited it several times in the last weeks, which may have resulted in the opening synth playing something similar to the ommadawn tune ... funny how your fingers think ... Enjoy. Have a merry comtemplative christmas time.

Exoplanet, the new album by Jens Buchert, leaves again the musical expanses of our aural solar system. Between Ethereal Techno, Ambient, Retro Electronica, Progressive House and Chillhouse, his scene-setting style simply can not really be classified.
Already the opener Exoplanet pushes the synapses right to the front and shows the listener the course into a colorful sound- universe consisting of synthesizer legends like ARP2600, Minimoog, Synclavier, Korg MS20, Oberheim OB-8 and a few secret sound ingredients.

Exoplanet by Jens Buchert defines the musical boundaries of electronic music far from the mainstream. A refreshing album for the scene and beyond.

From the moment he could operate a stereo system and tape recorder, the majority of his free time was devoted to music.  At that time it was only some recording and editing of the charts (on tape) and he became familiar with a variety of different styles of music. Later on he started DJ-ing with 2x Technics 1210 and moving on to CDJ's and controllers. Mid 90's only hardcore, later club, classics/oldstyle, trance and hardstyle. After some time off in the mid 00's he got an opportunity through a friend to occasionally do some dj work .

This was exactly what he needed to spark things up and got him all fired up again and realised he quickly wanted to make music again. 

He recently built his Home studio (Ableton/MaschineMk2/Komplete 10/Roland System 1) and the musical styles are very diverse.

Inspired by people like Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Leon Bolier, but also band music, rock, hiphop and many more is wat interests him.
