Italian artist Airbas spent his childhood immersed in music, particularly playing the piano, He has been writing and recording his own music since 2012. In 2021 he joined forces with Monog debutant The Uglytakeone for their Impasse EP on Kowalski Music. A formidable duo with a dynamic sound, we’re delighted to have them on board.

This one marks his first remix for Monog and is a sign of things to come for the Berlin based label manager. Bruno absorbs music wherever he goes and it is this knowledge he puts into his work. He took the reins at Monog a few years ago, where he nurtures new talent and entices established artists to share their sounds. On the remix, Otranto gilds the original with a touch of flair, adding strength to the organic groove and touching on the emotions with lush chords and shimmering atmospheres. Now I See You rounds out the release in mesmerizing fashion. A powerful mover with a solid bass and hypnotic charm, the perfect fodder to build any set.

Greece and Russia join forces in a new movement through the Balkans where Tash and Mango find a "Lost" musical world. Elemental basslines pulsate through the earth's magnetic fields as hypnotic rhythms guide and control lustrous textures. Cascading arpeggios rise and fall to build new sonic patterns and subtle melodic phrasing finds its place. Rising from the Baltic coast, Rauschhaus returns with ice cool melody and reimagined intrigue. Entwined motifs are Lost' within each other in smooth melancholy and haunting vocal refrain. Clubland rhythms find their mark through snare rolls and powerfully pitched drop in a new mesmerising interpretation.

Diverse musical backgrounds combine within cosmopolitan Buenos Aries where childhood's end brought shared synthesised dreams. Oliver and Tom find a new lost' memory that floats through a haze of shimmering pads, analogue lines and subtle pulsing waves. Motifs shine and chord progressions provide a new hope among familiar bassline presence. Meanwhile, a lost Roman settlement sits on the Iberian Peninsula where Kyotto defines a new vision across the Atlantic Ocean. Resonant bass force rumbles under heavy beat and raw energy. Light melodies float across the bay in perfect juxtaposition where familiar patterns echo within a new voyage of discovery and new vocal phrasing creates an understated shift in emphasis.

Monog Records is a music label based in Berlin, which aims to create a unique connection with it’s artists and their music. Each relationship we have with our artists is treasured as much as the last. We want to be there for all occasions by connecting promising and established artists, building the ground, supporting each other and sharing our love as a family alike.

Our name comes from the word "Monogamy", the state of having only one partner at any one time. In many cases, this word is used to refer specifically to marital monogamy and this is what we are about. We define Monogamy not as a death sentence but as an idea of sharing the same path together. Monog Records seeks to refine the concept and turn it into a “Musical Monogamy”: two individuals/parties with one shared music soul.

The owl is our mascot, our guide, and our loyal friend. This monogamous night hunter is a symbol of wisdom and mystic force. We believe that features of the owl lie closely with the values of Monog, and as such, it has become the symbol of our label.

Monog Records was created in 2010 by Joal and re-launched in 2018 by Bruno Otranto.

Monog do not follow any specific Electronic music trend. What matters to us is being able to support you by accepting who you are, the seeds you have sown in the past to get you where you are and with that you will continue to have the opportunity to freely express yourself through your music.
