In 2011 Santé finally stepped out of the Souvenir shadow and his successful engineering position with Tiefschwarz to confidently set off and further forge his own musical path. Having now seen his music featured on the likes of Kompakt, 8Bit, VIVa, Saved and Desolat and his very own Avotre imprint continue to grow stronger, the future couldn't be brighter for the young Berliner.

For his SCI+TEC debut Santé joins forces with great friend and the force behind the 2012 smash 'House Lesson', Sidney Charles, to deliver a brace of tech-house bullets in 'Blow' and 'Butt Head.' A blistering summer release from the German pair and perfect SCI+TEC debut.

Argentina's Ronan Portela brings his melodic brand of tech-funk to SCI+TEC in the shape of the excellent Intense release. Never looking to be boxed in sound or genre the Buenos Aires native looks to project a variety of feelings with his music, always targeted at keeping the dancefloor fresh and moving.

With a discography that stretches back over 14 years, Ronan's grooves have graced labels including Area Remote, Bla Bla, Foundsound and Trapez. The two-tracker, his SCI+TEC debut, features the positive propulsive rhythms and uplifting melody of its title track – Intense – and the equally perky groove and creative vocal-synth riff of the excellent B side, Lo Cut.

Two of the UK’s most talked about producers will be releasing their maiden collaboration on Hot Creations this May, as James Solace and Jansons team up on the Portal EP. The three-tracker marks James’ return to the label, fresh from the sensational Mind Music last year, whilst Jansons makes his full release debut having remixed Ben Sterling’s Fantasee in 2019. 

The pair described how lockdown fuelled their creativity, as well as how their musical influences shaped the EP: “We had been planning to get in the studio together for a while and lockdown was the perfect opportunity to collaborate on a project. We’re both influenced by all kinds of house music and this EP really shows that.” 

Portal sets the pace, as punchy kick-hat combos converge on shimmering synth stabs throughout. It’s a club-ready cut, taking us deep into heads down hands up territory with rhythmic claps and writhing percussion. Ba Dah Be Dah continues the late-night feel, marrying echoing vocals into a tough, low-slung bassline whilst tribal drum patterns stomp in the background before 54 brings things to a feel good close. It’s a summer anthem through and through, packed to the brim with warming keys and plenty of funk inspired rhythm. 

Whether it’s releasing stripped back house under his Burnski alias or hard edged 2-step via his Instinct moniker, James Burnham AKA James Solace has become a UK-mainstay over the years. James Solace is the latest incarnation in Burnham’s story, one that has seen him release on several of the scene’s foremost labels including Hot Creations, Knee Deep In Sound, Last Night On Earth and many more besides. Jansons is swiftly cementing his standing as a leading talent in contemporary electronic music. A prolific producer, his back catalogue boasts releases on Circus, Knee Deep In Sound and Four Thirty Two to name just a few, whilst recent mixes for BBC Radio 1 have placed him as a firm favourite in the UK spotlight.

It's no secret that Bicep have been at the top of their game of late and that's not showing any signs of changing. We were lucky enough to catch the duo play all-night-long at Good Room in NYC and when they dropped their Pooley remix, that's when we saw it really work its magic.

Glitzy chord stabs are set against a thick and chunky bassline while the percussion scuttles along in the background and although it's more reserved than their recent output, it goes down in the rave and still keeps that textbook Pooley feel intact.

Serge Devant returns to one of his favoured label’s with his White Groove EP , delivering a pair of deep, textured tracks that’ll vitalise any rigid dancefloor. Archie Hamilton makes his Crosstown Rebels debut and supplies a punchy, tripped-out revision of lead track, White Groove .

White Groove is an absorbing mix of rumbling sub bass, soft, textured percussion, and ethereal pads. Loose percussion and a tough kick carve out the initial vibe on C onnect To Server . A hypnotising, low-riding synth is the final layer and helps generate even more groove into this peak time roller.

Archie Hamilton switches up White Groove, revising the bassline into a buzzing, forward pushing rhythm but retains the mystical feel of the original, bolstering the whirring pads and using intricate percussive sounds and FX.

Serge Devant hails from Brooklyn, New York and released his seminal track Fearing Love in 2015 on Emerald City. Since then he’s been championed by Damian Lazarus, a firm favourite on both Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion, whilst also receiving plaudits for his releases on Knee Deep In Sound and Circus Recordings. Moscow Records, Moss.Co and Arkityp owner Archie Hamilton is one of the UK’s most promising talents, consistently releasing high quality house and techno on the likes of Get Physical, Fuse London, 2020 Vision, Fear of Flying among others.

| When Markus Homm started going to his first House parties, the likes of Beatport and Myspace hadn't even been thought of. Born in 1980, Marcus was 15 years old when he became infected with electro music and subsequently got his hands on a turntable. He then began to seek out the latest releases at the record store and also by asking local DJ's the identity of the tracks that had kept him dancing late into the night. Markus Homm was born in Romania, and now lives in Nurenberg. Eventually the second turntable made it into the equation and he started to mix records. His first gig came at age 21 and proved to be the first of very many.

In 2000 Markus returned to his former homeland. In Romania he played several gigs and met his current production partner and friend Mihai Popoviciu. Impressed by the quickly developing club scene in Romania he opened a record store with fellow local DJ's in Sibiu.

It is not only his passion for techno music that has taken him to places far and wide. Since he was 18 years old, Markus has been traveling as a professional dancer to tournaments all over the world. Learning Latin American dance has definitely influenced his sense of rhythm and his training has taught him the intricate design and implementation of many forms of music. In 2006, Homm's professional career took him to Moscow, and it was there that he started to produce music. Working sometimes alone and sometimes with partner Mihai Popoviciu, he formulated his own unique style of dance music, ranging from Deep House to Tech House. Markus Homm's music is in a constant state of development, always searching for, and finding the most compelling groove.

This diverse musical direction has led Homm & Popoviciu to successful releases with various labels, including their home label Highgrade Records, and Diynamic Music. In 2009 they had a widely acknowledged summer hit with "Bis Co". Markus Homm has also released a string of solo tracks and remixes which have gained notable success and positive feedback. Markus Homm has earned himself a solid position in the international Techno scene. Legendary Berlin clubs like Panorama Bar, Watergate and Tresor, or international destinations and venues in Zurich, Bucharest, Mexico, Madrid, Tokyo and Hong Kong are his regular playrooms. But despite all the fun of the last few years, Markus Homm has continued to push his musical development. The Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra is his latest Live project, alongside label colleagues Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, Dale und Daniel Dreier. The group made an amazing debut in the summer of 2010 at Watergate. And so it goes on. Producer and DJ Markus Homm moves consistently forward and continues his playful exploration of the tensions between music and body, while working on his own unique and very special musical success story.
