In between this summer of madness consisting of 12 hour Tomorrowland sets, Ibiza residencies, multiple festivals and Global DJ Broadcast Sunrise Sets and Ibiza Summer Sessions, one of my main tasks over the past 10 weeks was crafting something special for this year's Coldharbour Day.

At the end of July each year, the Coldharbour family unite for our annual Coldharbour Day celebration - together with our friends at Afterhours.fm - to create a marathon radio event dedicated entirely to the fans - with special all-Coldharbour sets and showcases of producer talents. 

My job each Coldharbour Day is to create a 4 hour set - which is the longest studio mix I put together every year. I spent a lot of  time attempting to get the vibe right, as well as striking the right balance of curent favorites, unheard / unreleased material and classics from days gone by.

Markus Schulz - Coldharbour Day 2013

It has only been a week but even now I'm still not sure how I did it. The challenge of performing a 12 hour open to close solo set at an outdoor festival, let alone one of the absolutely biggest of them all in Tomorrowland, was undoubtedly one o f the biggest I faced in my career.

For this month's Global DJ Broadcast World Tour we bring you highlights of the set, including some juicy IDs at the start, and approximately the last 45 minutes of the 12 hours where I got to dig out some classics I don't get much of an opportunity to play live that often.

My sincere thanks to everyone at ID&T and Tomorrowland for the opportunity to play at the festival, and most of all to all the fans who attended and supported me so well, especially those two stayed with me for the entire 12 hour duration.

Hello again,

Another Ibiza season is in the books, and another book of memories has been created. As you can tell by the supporting picture, I didn't want that sun to go down!

Every year, when closing the Global DJ Broadcast Ibiza Summer Sessions season, I dedicate the final episode to the fans, playing a 2 hour mix entirely of requests containing their personal favorite tracks and moments of the summer.

It's the first official single of the album that dance land has been waiting for. The premier introduction to 'Intense', the fifth artist album of the world's number one DJ, Armin van Buuren. It's the feel-good 'This Is What It Feels Like' ft. Trevor Guthrie, that rushes in.

Its official music video was shot in the great Nevada desert, in between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, by Pixelheaven.tv. It features Armin van Buuren and Trevor Guthrie, racing cars for 'the hot girl' on the sandy roads. But there's also a surprising guest starring in the music video: American adult-film legend Ron Jeremy, playing the supporting role as owner of the road diner where Armin and Trevor continue their battle.

Gathering two years of extraordinary production work and song-writing, 'Intense' is the next addition to Armin's legacy. 'Intense' landing May 3rd, the first single is an exclusive pre-taste of its genre-bending sound.

Featuring Canadian singer/songwriter Trevor Guthrie, Armin brings a musical fusion that has its roots in dance, rock and pop. Coming together in the easy-listening, up-tempo tune that is 'This Is What It Feels Like', Armin once again proves not to be a prisoner of his own style.

A brand new city on the GDJB World Tour passport for May, recording the broadcast for the first time live from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The crowd was hot and amped from the first minute. Hope you enjoy the set.

The latest World Tour episode for you all, and from a venue that is very special to me personally.

For the past 5 years I have been privileged to call myself a resident for The Gallery at Ministry of Sound in London. And the highlight of the residency is the annual open to close solo set, where i take control of the mainroom box from the opening beat to the last person standing. June was very much the month of solo sets for me, starting at Ministry of Sound in London, two successive nights at Mandarine in Buenos Aires, and finally gracing the Guvernment in Toronto to play open to close for the very first time.

Toronto has always been a very special city for me, evidenced by its place in city series folklore through the 2009 compilation, as well as the Dakota track Koolhaus named after the large events room inside the complex. 

This month's Global DJ Broadcast World Tour brings you highlights of my 9 hour set from last Saturday, as the Guvernment housed fans from Toronto, Montreal, New York and beyond. We even had a marrage proposal on stage (check Perfect towards the end), and the passion of the fans who stayed right through to the end was very humbling.
