The World Tour returns to Global DJ Broadcast, and Markus Schulz didn't have to travel too far for the occasion; as it emanated in his home city of Miami. As part of the 2023 Miami Music Week festivities, he was privileged to perform one of his signature open to close solo sets for an international audience live from MAD Club in Wynwood.

This experience was truly special for me, as it couldn't have been any better. I was in good company, enjoyed some sunlight, performed at one of my new favorite clubs, had a ton of amazing Lebanese food, and tried some new tracks that got some great response. 

I also started a new track with my good friend @RooneyNasr, which will be the next project that I will finish soon.
 The city holds a lot of personal memories, and this time, we added some new ones to the collection.
I love the warm and welcoming nature of the Lebanese people; the city is a completely different from what I'm used to.  This adventure has fueled my passion even more, motivating me to continue working on my career and thriving for greater heights.   Special thanks to @Recess for the invitation – maybe we'll meet again sooner than you think.

Im beschaulichen Mecklenburg Vorpommern findet man neben bezaubernden Landschaften, grünen Wäldern und ruhenden Seen auch einen blonden Unruhestifter, dessen Nachname Programm ist. Strahlend wie ein Sonnenschein steht er mittlerweile seit 2016 an Decks und hat es als kleiner DJ aus der Kleinstadtidylle mittlerweile raus in den Großstadtdschungel geschafft. Als Resident „PiepShow“ im weltbekannten Kit Kat Club Berlin treibt er mittlerweile in der gesamten Hauptstadt sein Unwesen und bespielte Clubs wie Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke, Mensch Meier, Void uvm.
Sommerliche Atmosphäre versprühte er außerdem auf regionalen Festivals wie dem 3000 Festival, dem Meeresrausch Festival sowie dem Simsalaboom. Sommerlicher Peaktimetechno programmiert auf Tracks mit viel Melodie und einem rollen im Sound, so als hätte man versucht die gesamte Gummibärenbande einen Berg runterrollen zu lassen.

Inspired from a weekend of Dreamstate and another unforgettable open to close solo set experience at Avalon in Los Angeles, Markus Schulz set upon his latest signature 2 hour journey mix, with an window painting a summer Atlantic night in view. for the first 5 years of writing electronic music I was making dubby, DnB, Jungle, Hip hop and experimental music. It wasn't until my friend convinced me to try and write a trance tune (which I refused to do for a long time) ' The Moof is Rooving ' I played at one of my first sets as the last track at a small out door festival in the forest outside of nelson along side my dubby experimental music and as soon as the first kick dropped people were coming out of the trees and running to the dance floor and dancing like people having an exorcism. Once I was back home after the summer in nelson I started to write psy break and some more psychedelic stuff. as the next summer came around I had a full set of tunes to play and was pushed into the spot light playing greats times and having an amazing response.
The fractal of life opened up in front of me and I have surfed that wave far and wide playing grouch all over the world. The problem was that I didn't have enough time to write enough even grouch music which is why my album on zenon records " Corpus Callosum' took me upwards of 5 years to finish.

I knew that as soon as the album was done and I was back from touring it I would be getting deep and going back to my roots and writing music that just comes out of me so naturally - LOVE it it comes straight from my heart and I am so happy to have had the time and support to finish this piece of my self.

My journey in life through my music is a transformation healing path where i am having to face my insecurities of being on stage where I often get stage fright BUT the love of my passion for music has kept me getting up on stage and facing the fear. Every time I get up there I have a healing experience, facing my fears with my love and so I grow and feel humbled to the core from this Life's blessing of giving me a passion I knew I would never let go.

Hello again. Another Christmas and New Year gift made and dedicated to you.

A project that was a year-long labor of love and completed during the holiday is proudly here to be presented - the annual Global DJ Broadcast Classics Showcase, part of the Four Seasons series.

Since an early age, one of the biggest loves and passions in my life has been the radio. In particular, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is didn't feel important, and this was reflected with all the stations playing classic songs.

My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and powerful episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed.

And with the 2019 edition joining the ranks of several previous ones, I hope that it's just as memorable as those before, with many championed trance and progressive tunes of our era, and also hidden gems which perhaps did not receive the recognition they deserved at the time.

Welcome to the first World Tour edition of the Global DJ Broadcast for 2019, where each month Markus Schulz brings you a slice of his sounds in the live environment, featuring some of the world's most famous clubs and events. 

For the first of the year, we take you back to New Year's Eve, and for the fourth time, Markus held fort all night long at the legendary Avalon nigthclub in Los Angeles, playing open to close, with the highlights from midnight and beyond for you here.

Markus Schulz - Global DJ Broadcast World Tour: Los Angeles 2019 #gdjb

Miami Music Week has arrived, with thousands of clubbers and industry members descend upon South Beach and unite for a plethora of events, meetings and parties. Hometown representative Markus Schulz comes to you live from the heart of the action this week, continuing the annual tradition of bringing a flavor of the conference to the Global DJ Broadcast listeners. Miami Music Week tends to be the place where some of the gems of the year are first unveiled, and that is reflected across the two hour mix Markus showcases, weaved across trance, progressive and techno.

If you are in Miami, be sure to enjoy yourselves, and hopefully this will be a nice soundtrack to accompany your travels. You can catch Markus live as part of a double header this Sunday - firstly at the Ultra Music Festival, followed by an open to close solo set at the Wynwood Factory for the Miami Music Week closing party.

Markus Schulz - Global DJ Broadcast Miami Music Week 2019 Edition

The one Global DJ Broadcast World Tour per year which doesn't involve a lot of travel for Markus Schulz is his annual Miami Music Week presentation, taking place in his home town. In March every year, the world's dance music community descends upon South Beach to celebrate the scene we love, as well as providing the platform to present new material which will be crucial to DJ sets later in the calendar.

Before everyone goes their own way, there is always one last closing party crucial to leaving fans around the world with lifetime memories. And it was his responsibility to do just that, with what would turn out to be a ten hour open to close solo set at Wynwood Factory. 

So for those of you who where there, or if you want to experience highlights of the ambiance, here it is. Enjoy the podcast, and enjoy your weekend.
