well here it is! my first original. holy shit... i am so thrilled (and terrified) to finally be releasing this song!! i wrote "I Just Want You" at the end of last spring; it's a song about a girl who means a lot to me, and how i felt when i met her for the first time. if you know me well, you know that i've been writing songs ever since i started making garageband beats in middle school... now that i am about to graduate college in the spring, it feels right to finally put myself out there as a singer and songwriter in addition to being a producer and dj! this isn't a perfect song by any means, but it absolutely means the world to me and i really hope it will mean the world to some of you, too.

special thanks to kevin chapman for lending me his mastering talents, and to jeff sontag for lending me his studio and helping me record my vocals- you guys are the greatest.

We are delighted to present a collection of ten laid-back tracks, composed and produced by the young talented Norwegian artist Night Sky, also known as Afternova. In the making for more than three years, this album showcases many different musical styles: from a classical orchestra, to the typical sounds from South American countries, to ambient and relaxing pieces.

The release starts off with "Summer Wind". The flutes and the guitar are the main elements that create an enchanting atmosphere, supported by warm and lush pads. Beginning with a few melancholic notes, the song quickly evolves towards a joyful melody.

Next up is "Visions", the track that gives the title to the album. The piano, soon joined by a violin and harmonious pads, build up into a catchy and memorable theme.

Then comes "Reminiscence", a lovely tune where the piano, combined with strings and soft choirs, takes us on a short but blissful escapade.

With "A New Way", Night Sky proposes a very majestic piece played by a symphonic orchestra: powerful strings, winds, and brass instruments convey a strong victorious feeling up to the very last notes.

"A Happy Moment" releases a deep amount of joy and well-being. Starting with a solo flute, and followed by very melodious strings, this song plays around subtle modulations that keep inducing positive emotions.

"Lost Without You" is an exploration through feelings; its overall melancholic atmosphere topped up by beautiful strings will certainly help you through your darkest times.

"Take A Look Around" is a unique string composition that fills us with a delightful blend between positive and less positive feelings.

Night Sky's "Friendliness" is another short but intense orchestral composition. With its elegant solo violins and its wonderful piano lines, Night Sky takes us once again on an unforgettable journey.

"Falling Snow" offers a deep and soulful orchestral composition that contains a beautifully arranged strings section. Together with delicate chords, this string piece will surely affect your deepest emotions.

The next piece, "Never Forget", shows once more Night Sky's talent. The voices and strings combined with a powerful and intense rhythm will bring the listener on another emotional journey.

Night Sky makes an excellent debut on Abora Chillout with "Visions", a masterful orchestral album that provides a wonderful journey through emotions and sensations. Afternova's new alias hasn't finished to impress us, and will surely provide numerous quality compositions to our label.

The unstoppable Vintage & Morelli presents "Desire," the third single from his debut artist album, "My Rose Enchanted Destiny." A truly exhilarating track, "Desire" centers on an emotive, trance-influenced chord progression, which patiently evolve into an anthemic lead. Meanwhile, the titular vocal hook only enhances the emotional soundscape. Rounding out this single, global progressive house and trance icons Dezza (Canada) and Blugazer (USA) offer their own club-friendly, yet truly inspired interpretations.

Dezza is rapidly approaching a decade's worth of contributions to our imprint, which is to say: we have been incredibly fortunate to work with the acclaimed Canadian veteran since our label's inception. His remix of "Desire" is simply euphoric from start to finish. We are immediately met with his signature roaring bassline, which is both resonant and cleanly mixed, leaving plenty of space for lush piano chords and an infectious vocal stab sequence. However, the highlight of the song -- perhaps the release highlight -- does not occur until the drop, where a hands-in-the-air chord sequence unites with a thunderous groove.

Blugazer, whose virtuosic compositions over the years have traversed all shades of progressive, provides a deep and imaginative take on the original. A variety of the original themes are present in his elaborate soundscape, yet it's the overall atmosphere of this production that captivates the listener. Blugazer once again crafts a sensual, "escapist" arrangement, into which the listener immediately sinks and, ultimately, doesn't exit until long after the song's conclusion.

Latvian producer and sound engineer, Puremusic, enlightens us listeners once again with his latest work, "Serenades Of The Night" -- his fourth album to be released with Silk Music. Ambitious and inspiring, the album explores the significance of love, romance, twilight contemplation, and the wonder of nature to create a sweeping, evocative body of work that grows deeper with each listen.

As the first track of Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night," "Twilight" steeps us into a world of wondrous tones and textures. "No Fairy Tales" builds from a few simple elements such as finger-style bass, reverberating drums and echoing arpeggiators to become a fully enveloping atmosphere the carries us away. Delicate textures, resonating piano and evocative melodies sweep in and out of "Closer," each element arriving as a gentle wave that takes us deeper and deeper into Puremusic's wonderful soundscape. "Born To Love" couples the nostalgia of an acoustic guitar with the wonder of coastal sounds to place us on the shoreline of bliss. In "Tatchi," Puremusic's masterful control of sound transforms the old-world tones of a Japanese koto into something wholly new, adding a touch of fantasy to an already ambitious atmosphere. "Kama" sits as an inspiring prologue that transitions into the album's seventh track, "Reach It." Layers of percussive elements open "Reach It" and establish a foundation upon which Puremusic creates an exotic, otherworldly tune that transports us to a different time. Celestial tones appear and withdraw upon a canvas of sound in "Warmth," a meditative interlude that sets the tone for the more contemplative tracks that close out Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night." True to its title, Puremusic's distinctive sound engineering makes "Creation" a perfect sonic companion for watching the dawn of the universe, or for simply relaxing on a summer's eve with someone special. "Pour l'Amour" features a reverberating solo piano whose chords inspire quiet reminiscence. "Dawn" closes out Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night," on a bright, elated note.

Against considerable personal odds Paul van Dyk’s still managed to land some of 2016’s heaviest hitting trancers. Most recently he collaborated with Alex M.O.R.P.H. on the month Beatport #1 chart slam ‘We Are’, delivering in the process summer’s most truly trance moment. 

This December, with anthem-in-the-making ‘Everyone Needs Love’, PvD returns for his last musical dispatch of the year. For it, he’s assembled an impressive vocal & production cast. Side by side in the studio with Dutch underground trance hero Ronald van Gelderen, the quartet’s completed by US-based singer/songwriters Gaelen and Eric Lumiere. 

On releasing ‘Everyone Needs Love’, Paul says: “as much as I thought I understood love, I’ve learnt considerably more these last nine months. In more ways than I could imagined, love made a battle worth fighting. Had it not been there for me, I’m not sure I’d be here today.”. 

Combining a locomotive bottom-end with a positively aerodynamic top, together Paul & Ronald prove every bit the potent studio force you’d imagine. With chemistry most evident, the Original Mix of ‘Everyone’ unites Gaelen & Eric Lumiere for its vocal fulcrum. Edging the track onto later night ground, Paul’s VANDIT Mix squeezes the tempo gas, lets the cables rush and the speakers’ roar. Heftier beats and lower frequency bass flow through its classically built PvD Club Mix, pushing ‘Everyone’s needle into peak-night territory.  

‘Everyone Needs Love’ is the PvD year-closeout fans will be heartened to hear.

Trance legend Paul van Dyk has announced a monumental North American tour today, presented by Insomniac’s Dreamstate trance brand. The tour consists of 12 dates, sprawling across the U.S. and Canada, capped off with a headlining performance at Dreamstate Festival in San Francisco on May 27th. Playing expansive venues like Washington D.C.’s EchoStage, Opera Nightclub in Atlanta, and House of Blues in Boston, this tour ushers in the new year for trance lovers everywhere; Paul will be joined by trance stars like Vini Vici, Simon Patterson, Alex M.O.R.P.H, Heatbeat and Solarstone along the way, rounding out a can’t-miss event in the dance music world. 

In addition to the tour announcement, Paul van Dyk has also released his next single called ‘Touched by Heaven’, an aptly named track, indeed. Featuring enigmatic, large swells and a classic, rolling PvD bassline, ‘Touched by Heaven’ is a beautiful song. The entrancing melody is carefully wrapped around aggressive, almost brash flavors, combining for what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest trance songs of the year.  

This will be Paul’s first official major tour since his stage accident last year, a massive achievement for an artist who at one point did not know if he would be able to ever perform again. Fortunately, PvD has recovered enough to continue doing what he loves most - playing music to his fans. 

Since its 2015 debut in Southern California, Dreamstate has traveled around the world to six major cities across four countries including North America, Mexico, the UK, and Australia. The brand continues to grow as trance infiltrates mainstream dance music culture, with no signs of slowing down - exemplified by Paul van Dyk’s major US tour. Dreamstate recently announced the its first-ever branded stage at North America’s largest dance music festival and Insomniac’s flagship event, EDC Las Vegas 2017. Paul van Dyk is a regularly billed and beloved artist at Dreamstate events globally, drawing thousands of fans to each of its immersive experiences.      

It’s another busy year for the German producer, who just recently was named the second most traveled artist in the modern era of music.  According to a TravelBird survey, Paul van Dyk has travelled a distance which equates to 58 trips around the world, topping the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and U2 among others.
