Port Moody-born and Vancouver-raised, Marla Guloien is a powerhouse of creativity and conviction — a singer, songwriter, creative director, and entrepreneur whose artistry transcends categories. Marla first rose to national attention with her 2010 debut album Marla Guloien Debut, co-written and produced alongside Juno Award–winner Miles Black and featuring icons Gabriel Hasselbach and P.J. Perry. But her path to the stage wasn’t linear — it was lived. From two formative years at the University of Toronto to a soul-searching season writing along Australia’s coast, she eventually returned to Vancouver to complete her Bachelor of Communications at Simon Fraser University, culminating in a sold-out concert at the Vancouver Planetarium that marked her arrival as a performing artist.

Driven by an unshakable belief that art is a system for transformation, Marla founded House of GlamRock, a creative studio and brand platform where music, design, marketing, and AI innovation converge. Her legacy includes fashion worn by Shakira, Nicki Minaj, Mel B, and Fergie — and a new era of intelligent brand building that fuses strategy, story, and soul.

Marla is also the voice behind The OMG Podcast, a series dedicated to exploring the intersections of mindset, fitness, entrepreneurship, and reinvention — the pillars of her signature Mind, Body, Business philosophy.

Her latest project, the 2025 album Bad Ass Woman, marks a fearless evolution — a fusion of sleek pop, sultry R&B, and her jazz-inflected roots.
