‘Gyae Su’ is a rearrangement of an older song, with a guitar concept typical of the classic Kwa or Kumasi bands and an overall tropical style. Ebo Taylor’s horn arrangements evoke the classic Afro-funk vibe that he originally made famous. The lyrics are as catchy as they are plaintive, with Thomas comforting the listener, “Don’t cry! Life has its ups and downs. Just take it easy and don’t shed any tears.”

Announcing the second single taken from Horse Meat Disco Presents Disco & Boogie from Brazil Vol.1. Across the compilation the London disco connoisseurs have selected some of their favourite gems from the seemingly endless musical gold mine that Brazil has to offer. This second single 'Queima Como Fogo', comes courtesy of the superb vocalist Waldirene. It’s a short and sweet Brazilian disco banger that was originally released on the brilliant Tapecar imprint, a diverse and interesting label always worth investigating.
 
Waldirene has managed to pack a lot into these 3 and a half glorious minutes. Reeling you in with a walking bass and piano combo, the song erupts into a driving beat led by squelchy basslines, proto-house piano chords and lavish string arrangements. Swelling and breaking throughout, it’s a track full of drama, with Waldirene’s luscious vocal tones amping up the feel-good factor. There’s even a short section reminiscent of Herbie Hancock's 'Chameleon' nestled in for good measure. A mini yet mighty epic, this classy track is sure to make the dancefloor move.
