Day 5 "The Next Right Step" #LETSFOCUS w/ Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist

Sometimes being positive is outside our reach. We feel so consumed with worry, doubt, and fears about what we don't want to happen. If your thoughts about a topic are overwhelmingly negative, it is often better to try to redirect our thoughts to another topic. It can be as simple as each time fearful thoughts come up, you say in your mind, or aloud, "It is what it is. I'm not thinking about that right now." And when it comes up again, say it again. Another phrase I like to use is, "All is well. It's already being handled. I've done all I can do." Find one that works for you and feels true to you. Instead of forcing upstream to positive, just float.

Many people don't believe that everything has purpose. I respect that belief. In my life, and in my experiences, everything has purpose. That's one of my core values. 

This week, I learned that even when I seem to be losing, I can find wins... if I look for them. Whether it's lessons, or new skills, or recognizing strengths I didn't know I had... or awakening parts of myself that once were core to me.... I truly came to realize that there's often right in the midst of wrong....

Today, my #meditation time was interrupted by an unexpected visitor. I am proud of myself for the several times I refocused. Nearly ruined my day, but I didn't allow it. 

Sometimes life requires us to pivot, to change direction from the path we're on. I had to work at it today. I've been walking the negative path of "this sh*t always (only) happens to me," for a long time. Today, I made progress by not allowing circumstances outside my control to cause me to remember that my intention is to focus in ways that are positive. I found the blessings in the moments and kept moving. And then I took a lonnnng nap.

I've been running and doing so much the last few weeks without getting adequate rest. I, honestly, haven't been taking care of myself. Yesterday, I made a choice that left me completely wiped out yesterday evening and I still feel quite weak today. I wasn't really listening to any indicators to rest, so it seems my body is forcing it on me. And it's no fun. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. I'm planning to rest through the weekend (no promises, though, lol). Podcast gets posted regardless. Blessings!

Day 15 "Rest By Choice" #LETSFOCUS w/ Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist

Today, I learned something amazing. I was listening to another Abraham-Hicks recording and an idea came to me. I can begin to look at "alignment" as "in line for it." If I picture to lines, with a table in front of each. One line is what I don't want, and one line is for what I do want. I can check in with how I'm feeling to know what line I'm in. If I'm feeling bad, I'm in line for what I don't want. If I'm feeling good, hopeful, enthusiastic, and optimistic, I'm in line for what I DO want. And I can check in with myself at any time throughout my day and get back in the right line... by simply thinking one slightly better thought at a time. 

I explain the concept fully in today's #podcast. You definitely need to check this one out!

Sometimes life hands us circumstances that we can't fix, that we can't undo... moments of "it is what it is." In these often painful moments, we can choose to channel some of that energy toward creating. Whether beautiful or downright scary, we can use our creativity to channel the pain in a positive way. 

On today's episode, I share I song I wrote, called, "Let It Go," a song that came to me as I processed a pain that periodically wafts up over something that's out of my hands. If you have some things that bring you pain and you can't control, maybe creating can allow you to sit with the circumstance in a new and different way.
