Biography:

A young Michael Mendoza went to a concert of his half-sister who was working as a dancer in the Now & Wow in Rotterdam. That evening as 14 year old boy Michael fell in love with the house music and the dance scene. The well-known DJ Benny Rodrigues referred the young Michael through to a website where he could dive in the music and that he did. Michael often tried to stay at his sister home in order to bring him to the clubs. When Michael was 16, he went with friends to go out to further explore the world of house and her music. He had the tacit dream to become a DJ, but his parents wanted that he focused on school. 

A few years later it was his time. Michael was performing at Rush in the Cineac and his first booking was a fact. Meanwhile, Michael began studying law at the University. In the beginning he was supposed to be combining his study with spinning records, untill Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano tipped Michael as a big talent and the booking requests came in short after. Michael made his decision and chose his dream and quit school.

Michael now performs in The Netherlands and abroad in various clubs and at events and is every day happy that he can be a DJ.

Michael plays house music in the broadest sense of the word. Depending on the mood and setting wherever he plays he adjusts his set. He always leaves the musical colors of EDM, progressive and a tad tribal house behind.

Michael is best known for his songs Be Without You ft. I-Fan (Hard Soul), Trinidad (Defected) Evolution (Flamingo) and the most recent single his collaboration with singer DO Blame it on Love (Big & Dirty).

Michael is known for his sarcasm, humor and self-mockery but is instead a warm and confident person.

Being a DJ is his passion: Every second I'm performing I Feel Like I'm escaping the ordinary and am in full control of my life..

Badbwoy, an emerging artist and producer, is swiftly gaining recognition in the music scene. His journey began in early November 2023 when he and his co-producer, Mo, first started experimenting with new musical styles. With no predetermined plan, they aimed to create something unique, blending melodic elements with Afro influences. This creative experimentation in the studio led to the birth of Badbwoy's debut track, "Better Off Alone," which was released on December 15th through his own label imprint, Subsonik Recordings.

Badbwoy's inaugural record, "Better Off Alone," quickly gained traction, followed by his second record, "The Light." Both tracks received immediate support from the Keinemusik legends: Adam Port, &ME, and Rampa. The unreleased tracks made their debut on November 11th during the Keinemusik Cloud event at Soho Garden in Dubai. The German trio's live performance, featuring Badbwoy's music, generated significant social media buzz, with videos going viral on TikTok and Instagram, igniting curiosity and excitement among Keinemusik fans and music enthusiasts.

Shortly after, Badbwoy collaborated with Palane in the studio, resulting in a unique blend of French vocals and Afro House in their EP, "Les Saints," which also garnered support from Keinemusik.

With his innovative sound and growing support from notable figures in the music industry, 2024 promises to be a significant year for Badbwoy, with plenty of new music on the horizon. Keep an eye out for this rising star as he continues to make waves and push boundaries in the music world
