David A Barber AKA Cody McLightfoot I was born in Nashville Tennessee cuz we happened to be staying there with my Aunt Sybil who lived outside of Nashville in Dickson Tennessee because my mother had just left my father from Detroit Michigan and my aunt Sybil sent us plane fare and flew us to Nashville because of my abusive father was not doing right by my mother and my aunt Sybil was the one that actually named me David Andrew Barber because my mother had talked to her in to naming her son Richard Andrew Poole so when I came along my aunt Sybil got to name me then we went from there to my uncle Gene's in San Antonio Texas to stay with my Uncle Gene and my Aunt Margie and your three sounds Danny Jamie and Stevie Norman my Uncle Gene had me singing Hank Williams songs at the age of five and dressed me up like a little cowboy stood me up on the table and he played the guitar while I sang your cheatin heart and I knew all the words to a lot of Hank Williams songs at the age of five that was his favorite artist at that time then we moved to Charlotte North Carolina and me and my brother and this girl named Nina Nance had a band when I was in the first grade I played drums my brother played guitar and Nina play tambourine and she was our singer we had two songs wipe out and Michael rode the boat ashore we won the talent contest I was always musically inclined I was in a band when I was 14 or 15 but I got kicked out for cussing too much on the mic but I was only singing the songs like Ted Nugent did it we was playing some girls birthday party and her daddy came out there and unplugged us. everybody got mad at me well nanny nanny boo boo stick yer head in do do! do you know the proper response if somebody had asked you if you like doo doo you just say no but you do had a very good band in the early 90s called Firereek but three kids and a wife sort of got in the way and I got sidelined for quite a few years but now I'm back I'm Cody Mclitefoot and I'm back to say I'm ready to rock out on some country country rock rock and I love all kind of music and my debut album circle of light comes out 11:11.25 it's in honor of my mother the Reverend Nanny light Roper she was a minister who was always there for me no matter what kind of stupid things I did and I did a lot of stupid things when I was a young juvenile delinquent my mother made me go to church and but it made me the man I am today and I miss my mama being around but her spirit and legacy still lives on in me so I'm here I'm out I'm ready to sing and play and sing songs about  my mama I hope you enjoying my music love you mean it Mama I hope I make you proud!
