This was my first trip to the Joshua Tree Music Festival.  It definitely lived up to and exceeded any expectations I may have had.  The beautiful community of music enthusiasts it attracted was second to none.  They came with me wherever I went musically.  There's nothing like being physically present, but I'm trusting some of the magic from that beautiful evening under stars will translate via this recording into something that will leave your soul smiling. Marques Wyatt "Live" From The Joshua Tree Music Festival 10.9.15

This set was recorded live on the Disco Space Shuttle with an incredible trumpet player by the name of Pablo (Paul Theodore Chandler). We were engulfed by a massive dust storm for the first couple hours of this set but it didn't slow us down. We kept the vibe going until the skies cleared and provide a beautiful view of the Man burning. 

The final hour of the set was a 2x2 tag team session with Lushbunny while we drove around the Playa looking for trouble. 

Big shoutout to the Disco Space Shuttle crew for sharing their vibe, sound and love with all of us on Burn Night.

What's Up Desert Hearts Family,

Oh man do we have a long-awaited set for you today. Marques Wyatt has been someone we've looked up to for years, not just for his music but because he's been an absolute beacon of light in our community for as long as we can remember. For one reason or another it never worked out getting Marques on a Desert Hearts lineup, but every time we ran into him expressing our desire to book him, he'd flash us his big bright smile and say, "When it's meant to be, it's meant to be." Well in 2017 it was meant to be and we finally got this ray of positivity at the helm of our Desert Hearts dance floor. The result was pure magic, pure vibe, & pure love. It was the uniting of a house music legend with the tribe he's supposed to be a part of. Welcome to the Family, Marques. Your spirit's always been here but now it's official. You're going to fit in around here very nicely!

Brunch Life Glitter Ranch Mix!

Thanks to all the happy faces who stayed up all night or who set their dusty alarm clocks to come and dance with us Wednesday morning. Having been on the other side of the speakers for many a sunrise it was a treasured moment to play this music, which holds a lot of emotions for many of us.

We want to thank Fleetwood Mac for the original magic and Robot Heart for creating the opportunity to crank it loud and proud. Sonic love travels in many dimensions and as it relates to music, Marques Wyatt is a seminal pioneer and is undoubtedly one of the most respected DJ's in the United States and a West Coast legend. In addition to producing some of LA's most legendary clubs/events, many associate him with "DEEP," the illustrious event that he nurtured in his hometown of Los Angeles - thriving and continuing today for well over 19 years. He is one of the few DJ's that have managed to cross pollinate audiences and merge at least two generations of music fans on his dance floors. Thus, he is in demand at clubs, as well as on the festival circuit alike, stateside and abroad. Marques' unerring, knowledgeable selections are sure to stir up some emotions and known to turn huge dance floors into intimate rituals.
