Strongly shaped by the raw and forward-leaning sound of 90’s Techno, Milan based artist Alarico Zucchi started his journey into electronic music in 2015 making his way through clubs as a DJ while learning the art of music production. 

The inauguration of ‘Alarico’ occurred in 2019 after previously exploring several sub-genres of Techno. The alias was formed as a statement to showcase a style that was personal to him. Personal in a way that he became captivated within the patterns and structures of his own sound. So-much-so that his multiple our long podcasts solely consisting of his own material made him stand out from a whole host of young and promising producers and DJs. 

Known for fast paced rhythms and kinky grooves he has released music consistently since his debut in 2020 on Joton’s imprint “Newrhytmic Records”. Shortly after he launched his own vinyl imprint “Katana Records”, which showcases the more mental and introverted side of his idea of Techno. He certainly cemented his rank in today’s Techno landscape through releases on Matrixxman’s highly acclaimed “The Grid”, Token Records and sees a bright future with a forthcoming release on SHDW & Obscure Shape’s newest endeavour “Mutual Rytm”. 

Alarico continues to position himself as a unique music lover, exploring the depths and possibilities of sound. He stands for permanently pushing boundaries and stirring this attitude with his background of Hip Hop and Japanese culture.

Drawn to sharp kicks or a few clipped vocals here and there, Philippa Pacho's mix is an invitation, or even more an exploration, to a complex and appealing inner world. A stand-out.

Phara spins an intricate, contemporary take on techno while never losing touch with the genre's essence while being heavily influenced by Detroit, Berlin, and the UK sounds, as well as post-punk, wave, EBM, and electro. He emerged on the international scene with the "Next Of Kin" album on Black Sun Records. After EP releases on labels like Soma, SK Eleven, Stockholm LTD, and Planet Rhythm, Phara also founded "Phaaar," his own record label. He's known for his vinyl-only DJ sets, blending fast rhythms, industrial vibes, and dub pulses. 🔊

"It's a 1:20 h extract of a two-hour set. Recorded using two Korg Electribe EMX-1's, an Oto Boum and a Allen Heath Xone96 Mixer. It was the closing set of the first day of a sold out birthday weekend, right underneath the Brussels South train station. It was the first time I played with two Electribes – definitely a gig I will never forget. Unfortunately, the power in the club went down after a while, which cut the recording in half." 🔥

They’re the force behind local collective Hayes, whose foot-soldiers include names like fellow Lusitanian Nørbak and Raär among them. The duo have a string of releases on other labels too, Klockworks and Dax J’s Monnom Black no less. Despite this, they keep a relatively low profile, which lends their sound an underground patina reflected in their ability to find and broadcast the rarest electronic gems. These beats and ability to instinctively read a crowd are lightning fast, and so are those raving in front of them. This infectious dancefloor energy comes in a brisk three hour package for Bassiani Podcast 194. Live recorded at NDRX’s Invited by Resident night at the club back on November 17th, this one’s brimming with groovy and fulgurant bangers: breakneck and unremitting techno from start to finish.
