TRIGO (pronounced try-go) is the moniker of Jerry Perez, a Producer/DJ based out of Denver, CO with over 6 years' experience DJʼing in local clubs and bars while creating momentum for himself in the underground Bass/Wave music scene. Molding a unique sound from influences in the Dubstep, Trance, Drum & Bass and early Metal/Rock communities, TRIGO has created a new experience that takes any listener on an emotional and thought-provoking journey while making them dance at the same time. TRIGO has been featured on labels and collectives such as vibe.digital and Electric Hawk. Bordering the line between wave and world bass, TRIGO offers 6 new tracks in his new Primal EP, out on Gravitas Recordings November 19. 

From the depths of the deep space, Relic opens up the EP with hard hitting, primal clashes, journeying us into the expanse of TRIGO’s astrological journey. Instinct encourages us to tap into our primal side with its powerful and glitchy breaks while Ancient Mysteries opens our curious minds with its mysterious and melodic environment. Curiosity piqued, listeners are fully immersed in the narrative that continues with Hold Up, infusing hip hop and hard wave elements, creating the perfect fusion of genres. Midnight Canopy invites the listener further into the illbient and reflective journey through infinite and curling soundscapes. Finally, Primordial embodies ancient mysteries with oscillating atmospheres, encouraging exploration and inquisitiveness.

- 01 -Phacelia :
The name of this piece comes from a blue flower called "campanular phacelia" or "desert bell".

 Because of its ability to grow and develop in very arid regions, I associate it with a person whom I loved deeply and who brought me great joy at a time when I was experiencing great loneliness. 

This relationship, however brief, was an oasis of refreshment and inspiration in this desert crossing.

So this song had its place as the introduction to this album, which is about personal evolution and renewal.

- The album :
Four and a half years... That's how long it took me to write "Evolve". Four years of experimentation, encounters, inspiring friendships and joys, but also personal trials, disappointments and sorrows. All these emotions and more have fed into my music over the years, culminating in this project, which I consider to be the most complete I've produced to date. 

Sharing this story with you is close to my heart, and I hope that together we can bring 'Evolve' to life, giving it a dimension far greater than a simple album: a shared dream, tinged with passion and creativity. Of course, this won't happen without your support, and the rewards I'm offering will encourage you to dive even deeper into this adventure.

- 02 - This is How the Story Goes :
This is the oldest track on the album, because it's also the first one I wrote for it. It's like the beginning of a story, a musical tale that lays a soundscape before us.

My intention in composing it was to blend my hiphop and US rap influences with Mindex-style bass music. 

It's a track that's changed and evolved a lot over time, because I've come back to it regularly, adding little modifications that I've tried out on stage, as well as at the very end where I had to go back to the mix to bring it up to the level of my most recent tracks.

For this last track, which is also the outro of the album, I wanted to go for something more contemplative and almost entirely acoustic.

This track is also the continuation of "Off the Trail part.I", so it brings the story to a close and brings my musical research to a conclusion, like an acknowledgement of how far I've come.

◆ Having taken his first steps in 2012 with psytrance, Mars-Massive, sound designer and engineer, now offers us a universe where various angles of bass music such as neurohop or drum and bass come together with world music and jazz.

Initially an artist with Toulouse's Sagouins Crew since 2016, Mars-Massive then joined the Psykedream Music label in 2018 and ADN Music in 2020.

His creations, with their varied influences and meticulous sound design, seek to offer us a journey through multiple cinematic soundscapes, composed of subtle melodic motifs, textured bass and carefully researched effects.

◆ Ayant fait ses premiers pas en 2012 avec la psytrance, Mars-Massive, designer sonore et ingénieur du son, nous propose aujourd'hui un univers où diverses facettes de la bass music telles que la neurohop ou la drum and bass viennent se mêler aux musiques du monde et au jazz.

Tout d'abord artiste chez les Sagouins Crew de Toulouse depuis 2016, Mars-Massive rejoint ensuite le label Psykedream Music en 2018 puis ADN Music en 2020.
